isobro said: must be in a Citibank Account, Citibank Everything Counts® or Citigold® account relationship package. "Citibank Account" has a 6k monthly balance to avoid fees. Fine print on Pricing Packages link says: "Fees for The Citibank Account are also waived if you have a stand-alone Ultimate Savings Account"
Dont know what the Ultimate Savings a/c requirements are but looks like you could get away with not maintaining a substantial balance. Edit: Ultimate Savings a/c says in fine print "No monthly maintenance fee applies when held as a stand-alone account in the Citibank Account relationship package. Other account charges may apply." So it may be possible to avoid maintaining a large balance.

Ultimate Savings Account has: * No minimum balance * No monthly fee (4)
(4) No monthly maintenance fee applies when held as a stand-alone account in the Citibank Account relationship package. Other account charges may apply.
Free if you meet the combined balance. (5)
(5) Fees for The Citibank Account are also waived if you have a stand-alone Ultimate Savings Account.
It appears you must have $6,000 in combined accounts (including Ultimate Savings Account) even though it reads like you can have $1,000 in Checking and only $0.01 in Ultimate Savings. I think it was meant to say:
(5) Fees for The Citibank Account are also waived if you have a stand-alone Ultimate Savings Account (and you keep a combined balance of $6,000).
