But if you already have the max credit limit they're willing to give you, you'll have to call and they'll move some existing limit to creat the new account. But its a rather painless process. |

My credit score is around 750ish \hijack |

Updated the results some (juniper, discover, national city, inquiries). Not going to post every time I update, so I'll just make new info obvious. |

This is worth another post: I got approved for BOTH CITIBUSINESS CARDS. Also, regarding Chase, I got this email ... "Your credit card application has been received and we will be sending you a response via U.S. Mail within 15 to 30 days. In the meantime, please refrain from submitting any additional applications. We will only be able to consider your first application." Did others get this email as well? Did you just apply for another card anyway? Results? My TU is still pretty clean and Chase always pulls TU for me. I'm not sure if I'm better off waiting for a decision or applying before my TU is littered with new cards. |

Jackcrawfish, as a datapoint, how much banking do you do at WF? I'd like to see what I can do to get approved for that card the next time around. Also, I'd like to thank everyone who posted. There remains some work left to do, but I'd say things are going very well. Your comments are appreciated. And thanks FWF! |

These are programs such as Google autofill which automaticaaly fill in the forms with matching fields at a click so u dont have to type in things like your name, address etc. again and again in forms. canasdaq said:WHAT IS "Automatic form-filling programs are good." CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN MORE . |

Canasdaq, try here. Be careful when requesting CLR with US Bank. "Your SSN has been used 14 times recently to apply for credit." They are totally freaking out. AA very possible.

Apparently approved is not approved with Chase. They mailed me a decline letter for the $2500 airline card after approving it over the phone and don't seem to have any record of the call. I guess that is what I get for not recording it. |

So its all random at chase. They sent me decline letters and on calling, the CSR had no clue..according to him application was under review. When i talked to a supervisor they said it was declined. But your story is kinda unique...what bastards. |

I guess there's a person above the supervisor whom you don't get to talk to who has the final say. I first came to know about this on a CITI reallocation thread. In your case maybe the supervisor approved and the guy above him rejected... |

This is why I didn't even bother applying for anything from Chase this go-round. Besides the fact that I already have 1 business and 4 personal cards from them, they seem to be the ones that are the most spooked by high outstanding debt on other cards and excessive inquiries. Combine that with most (all?) of their cards now being uncapped, I figure why even bother risking another wasted inquiry. |

Well, their new policy seems to be 1 app per 30 days. I rolled the dice anyway after I was approved for the first app. They are still letting me CLR though (I want the miles), so I guess losing $2000 or so in BT $$ isn't a tragedy. I'm more pissed at chase because they have a history of doing stupid stuff with my accounts. |

datapoint- was denied for chase disney due to too many new accounts. called the new acct. dept@888-609-7805 and they were able to close my unused Sony to approve disney. Hope they hold on to their words... EDIT: checked my online acct. and the Sony card is still there but limit reduced to 100. Seems they didn't close it completely. |
