teammjs said:To clarify, you got the Chase "1 card every 6 months" on the one business card you applied for? If so, this is interesting to me becuase I always thought Chase pretty much segregated their personal and business card departments for application and CL purposes.

Unless they are cracking down on the self-reported $0 net income/0 years in business sole proprieterships that worked last year on their business card applications, maybe it's worth using the single Chase application "bullet" for future AORs on the business end, since those aren't going to report on a personal credit report and thus less apt to start an AA chain?

I did do the 0/0 for the business app but got the same letter that I got on the other personal card. It appears they are lumping them the same. I chose the disney card for the BT money because I can CLR 35K from business and that is worth way more than the 25K miles.

Called and finished the Citi pro move today.

Called and BT'd the 53 platinum card which has to go to another card (Associated then another draw there). It will probably be my last time dealing with them because of the shady CS practices. I can not pay the card with an external account (great I have to figure out a way to push the payment from fidelity), the BT will show up in about 5 days but *may* take much longer for the creditor to receive it (exact words). Overall, with the payments and hassle for 4.9K not worth it.

NC Life springs is sending a check.

another new learning, Bank Atlantic will only do a 20K BT for the $75.00 fee, it made my CLR from my personal card worthless.

alert mods

dm, could you please summarize which CLR's you were able to successfully transfer from personal to biz?

I've been trying for 18 months and haven't gotten a single issuer to agree.

CLR So far:

Personal to business success:
Juniper

Business to Personal Failure:
National City
Juniper
Chase

Business to Business Failure:
Citi Business to Professional even though the CSR told me it was ok several weeks ago -> I found out the policy changed a month ago no more CLR from Citi it appears

Personal to Personal Success:
US Bank -> only to the new account
BOA

Personal to Personal Failure:
Discover -> needed a hard pull

It's an old business card so I wanted to move the line. Even if I had a new card with the 0% purchase, it is hardly worth it considering I get at least 1.5% back on purchases.

Figure $100 purchase at start (if you purchase later your savings goes down)
Current interest of 4% and you make monthly payments and you have to subtract taxes from interest. Even at 1.5% I am banking $1.50 without the variance in interest rates.

I figured it out and with about 40% in taxes at 4%, I only make more than the 1.5% from 0-3 months (if it is gas or grocery I get more). Overall, it isn't worth my time and effort, although good thought.

OK, just to clarify...citi will only allow one citi pro card, but you had one or two existing when you applied...so how did you get the new pro to CLR to?

Did you apply for the new pro, then when deferred call citi and ask to close old pros and move to new applied for pro and that helped grease the wheels?

This was a recent change in their policy to one card only. They sent a denial letter that "maximum number of acounts already exist". I called and they volunteered to close both of my old ones and move the lines to the new card. I waited until the statement closed for the Cash Back then proceeded. Had the card in 7 days.

I presume the Chase restrictions are 1 personal and 1 business? I was going to get the Chase Disney & Chase Marriott (personal cards) and then a Chase Biz AMA/Chase Marriott Biz. Do you know if the Marriot cards are considered co-branded like the Citi Associated or ADA so I can go beyond the 1 app restriction?

Like I said above, they lump them in so it is one total.

Ok, I am debating on trying to bump the inq's. Has anyone had any success recently and how many services did you use? I already have credit secure. If I could b* tu and eq for 3 services in one month, I would go for it. My bumpage and choppage thread got out of hand and there is no recent data.

alert mods

yes, b* is still working, for TU at least.

alert mods

I bumped EQ last fall. I believe I had 3 daily EQ pullers, and then a couple random hits here and there. It took me probably just about one month to do it. I think the timing really depends on whether they are still purging multiple pulls every month. I think I lucked out in my timing.

You can check my AOR post to see the services I was using.

I just attached my payback spreadsheet to my OP, just copy the lines and fill in the numbers and it will calculate payment. I also use it to call CSR numbers and have all of the details on one sheet

Looks like the game is changing, DSD just dropped to 2.65%. My HELOC is at 2.249%. I am going to open a Broadway account for 4.08% and when the FW effect hits it, at least I will clear 2.24% in floating the mortgage.

Really when I look at it, I had a 4.5% mortgage at the beginning of the year, so virtually the first 120K is returning 4.5%. With the rates dropping like a brick, I am in no hurry to do my wife's AOR.

Why not 5% Rewards Checking accounts?

Why not 5% Rewards Checking accounts?

Because with ~250K, I need about 5 which is 5 DD, 50-60 debit card purchases a month, one 5 logins etc. Kudos for the people that mess with it, but its not for me.

alert mods

dmlavigne1,

how did you launder BT from US Bank? They do not DD or write checks with the offer. Do I give them a debit card information for them to pay my checking account? Your help would be appreciated.
