Fair enough. You prodded me into figuring out the search setup here. After a few attempts I finally found it. Thanks!

Any update? A new issuer is very interesting, and perhaps even worth a new thread. Or at least a note in the CC Issuer FAQ thread.

I keep forgetting to call. It's on my desk for tomorrow.

Update on Nationwide. I called and they agreed to reconsider and asked me to fax the documents in, which I did. I'm waiting for any response now.

WOW! I'm impressed by your guts, and I love watching this; it's like some kind of suspense movie! This is the first I've seen of this sort of thing (I'm a new member), but I've thought of borrowing against my CL to deposit in a high interest account.

Keep us posted!

Got fresh FICOs, avg is down to 694. Still dropping, and could get worse because a bunch of my AMEX accounts recently got CL's chopped down to $1K each.

Yikes. I take it your AA from AMEX was probably the result of soft monthly pulls they did after your AOR? Did they do AA on all your AMEX cards, or ones you use regularly? I didn't see you applying for a new AMEX card as part of your AOR, so assume they haven't done a hard pull on you recently.

I haven't been using the AMEX cards since I paid them off probably a year ago. So it may just be part of the general cutting back. I have too many AMEX to apply for new ones, which is why I'll be trimming in the next few months.

Nationwide bad news: After resubmitting my pay stub, they still claim they can't verify my employment, and added +INQ. So that's the end of that.

I've never been into the hardcore AOR's myself, but looking at that, my strategy of just taking whatever offers are sent my way that look good sure doesn't look too bad!
In my experience, getting deferred is no cause for concern. These turn to approved much more often than to denied.

deferred means no immediate decision? so what, you sit and wait for their response in the mail?

sorry I'm a little new at this.
