My own experience was two pulls (EX and TU the same day) for one credit card, however, my mistake was probably applying at the end of the day on Friday. Usually, I would've waited for the beginning of a work day, but I found out Citi AA'd all accounts with closure and I wanted the report pulled showing the cards open, if an analyst might've reviewed reasons for account closure. I then got hit with only EQ for checking/brokerage, which I applied for two weeks later since I was uncertain about approval on the CC. Still got hit with three inquires across the board. {g} |

ThePessimist said:Look at Schwab's Complete Pricing Guide. On Page 3, it describes the minimum deposit requirement for a Schwab One Account as: $1,000 per account The Minimum Deposit Requirement is waived if you open a linked Schwab Bank High Yield Investor Checking® account, open a Schwab Bank Invest First™ Visa Signature® credit card, or establish an incoming monthly transfer of at least $100 through direct deposit or Schwab MoneyLink®
So, you don't have to open the checking account or set up DD to waive the balance - having the CC is enough. Awesome, thanks. Can anyone confirm having this setup with only the credit card and the schwab one account (no checking account)? |

Can anyone confirm having this setup with only the credit card and the schwab one account (no checking account)? I have had my VISA for about 8 months. Opened the Schwab One account and VISA at the same time. No deposit made to the investment account and everything has been fine. |

I just got approved for $5000. I have an existing card at FIA with a $6800 limit. I was denied a $1000 increase on that card last month so I'm expecting my existing limit to get cut. |

But they've posted a new Pricing Guide dated November 2009 that still says the same thing about the credit card waiving the minimum deposit, so it shouldn't be an issue. Does anyone know what they changed in the new Pricing Guide? |

i haven't found this in the thread or quick summary: any correlation between CL and money with schwab (ie: is there a bias to higher limits if you have $50-100,000 with schwab all else being equal)? i have a lot of credit cards with $20-40,000 limits but with high foreign ex fees. getting this card with a $5000 limit would render it worthless; so i'm wondering if funding $100,000 into the checking would make a difference. FICO is 720 anyone with experience to share? |

Did anyone else get a new card from Schwab lately? I got a letter saying that my account number may have been compromised by a 3rd party, so they closed my old account and opened a new one with a different account number. Does anyone know who that 3rd party was? BTW if they are so concerned about security, they should fix their system so that Quicken can download transactions as they occur and not just at the end of the statement period. I download Quicken transactions 3 times a week but I never get to see my Schwab Visa transactions until the bill closes. Yeah, I could logon to their site, but I don't. |

Anybody here uses Citibank's online bill payment to pay their Schwab Visa bill? Citi doesn't have "FIA CARD SERVICES" listed but when you add a payee using the credit card account number, it finds it as an electronic payee to "BANK OF AMERICA STANDARD MC/V" in Delaware. I assume it's the same? |

I assume it's the same? Don't know specifically about Citi bill payment but FIA is owned by BoA. When in doubt, send in a small test payment and see if it posts correctly before you use it for regular payments. |
