It's a great free account, but they don't have a lot of branches. They had a $200 bonus for DD, but they are really picky about it being a real DD from employer / government. They don't accept ACH pushes and they will disqualify the bonus. I'm not sure if that offer is still available.I think someone misread my post and incorrectly updated the QS. I've fixed the error. Just to clarify, no DD is required for this account and rebates post the same day. |

I've had a checking account with them for a while and it's been fine for me. I've been a fairly low profile user though and haven't had to call for much. |

Comerica Bank's "On The Job Banking (OTJB)" account gives waiver / refund of Comerica and other banks' charges when using non-Comerica U.S. ATMs. To be eligible for OTJB, you need to be an employee or an owner of a company that has a relationship with Comerica. |

Updated QS with new EverBank requirement that you must maintain an average monthly balance > $5,000 to qualify for ATM surcharge refunds. The QS says the HSBC Online Savings Account rebates 3 ATM surcharges/month, but I don't see anything about this on HSBC's website. Does anyone have a link to this info on HSBC's website? thanks |

Another note regarding the QS - a lot of the reward checking accounts are not available nationwide - call first. |

Community National Bank "Community Rewards Checking" Not adding it to the list, as it is only available in the southeast states. But wanted to point out, from their account terms: *ATM fee refunds on 10 transactions per cycle, up to $999 when qualifications are met. A $999 cap for a maximum of 10 rebates??? That's allowing for a $100 surcharge PER WITHDRAWAL. I'd like to be that ATM owner..... |
