Just got this in the mail from AAA Northern New England:

Keeping an eye on your credit—and your identity—has never been more important. As a AAA member, you now have the tools to do both with free CreditCheck® Select* identity theft monitoring included with your membership.

Although free of charge, you must enroll online to take advantage of this membership benefit. There are no hidden charges or fees.
Enroll now and receive Identity Theft Monitoring:

* One Free online Experian® Credit Report
* Free daily monitoring of your Experian Credit Report
* Free email alerts of key changes to your Experian Credit Report
* Free Fraud Resolution Support
* AAA Premier® members receive the additional benefit of $10,000 in identity theft insurance** provided by Virginia Surety Company, Inc.

If you’re worried about identity theft, go to AAA.com/identity to enroll.

Fine print says:
*CreditCheck® Select is provided by ConsumerInfo.com, Inc., an Experian® company. To be eligible to enroll in and receive this free benefit you must be 18 years of age or older and a current member of AAA. After you enroll, if for any reason, you decide to cancel your CreditCheck® Select benefit, you may not re-enroll in this free benefit at a later date. The free Experian® credit report is available online for 30 days after enrollment. Benefit subject to change or termination at any time without notice. Certain terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
**Due to New York state law restrictions, identity theft insurance coverage cannot be offered to residents of New York.

Seems to be offered by some clubs and not by others, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Not true. I tried it with a number of clubs, and it seemed to work for most. It redirects you based on the cookie set by http://www.aaa.com/stop

For example, Northern New England sends you to http://www.aaanne.com/members/IdTheft.aspx?bcd=NNVU03, Southern California sends you to http://www.aaa-calif.com/members/id_theft.aspx?bcd=CAVU03, and Texas sends you to http://www.aaa-texas.com/members/id_theft.aspx?bcd=TXWLGLIP

Once you get a copy of your Experian credit report, you can continue to use that report number to access your report indefinately. (Yes, it keeps updating as new info is reported.)

I've been using my current report number for over 18 months.

does it offer credit score also ?

I believe to get genuine FICO scores you need to order from myFICO.com
the other websites give you FAKOs (estimated scores using their own formula)

let me guess, doesnt work for CSAA (northern cali AAA)

"This function is not available in your area"

I'm in New England, but not quite northern enough I guess. No go in the Merrimac Valley (Northern Mass).
