I'm embarrassed using Charter's stupid little road runner card to make my 13 purchases every month. I really don't need that kind of attention.
Then again, 3.10 APY MMA isn't too shabby either. I'm actually halfway tempted.

Was denied on the online application and figured it was because they could not verify Identity because of freeze. I called and that was the reason, They are going to call me back about other way to verify. Also I asked if this was nationally available and was told it is
"The online application for these accounts uses the Cashedge service."
Does that mean a hard pull?

Does that mean a hard pull? I'm waiting for a call back about that. I told rep I would unfreeze if it were just for verifying Identity and not a hard pull. I do know I have unfrozen a couple times with no hard pull resulting. He was going to find out and call me back. So I had to tell my Secretary I was expecting a call from Redneck Bank and she looked at me real strange.

Personally, I want the card specifically for that reason.
But, then again I am in AL so I figure the humor may be lost on some.

Sure I will just leave the Audi at home and pull up in my FJ cruiser that I just added a Bull Bar to. I think it's great marketing, I really did not want any more accounts but I gotta have that card
in NY, if you use either the MetroCard or the Path trains, they allow you to get a refillable card. you can choose to have the card refill with a credit card on file every time you fall below a threshold.
[in this tough economic climate...] I would definitely do it. for 25k, you'd get ~$1,300 for a year. besides that, this won't even be the most embarrassing card that I have.
At least this is a real Debit Card. I also have the PrimeCard for restaurants. that thing is a separate swiping machine for the waiters, and for some strange reason they're typically located in a totally different part of the restaurant from the normal CC machines. and a lot of the waitstaff are not familiar with it, so they have to go to their managers. and to make it even worse, we sometimes also use a restaurant.com GC and then pay the balance with PrimeCard.

They had me fax over a copy of utility bill and said my account should be opened for funding later today. I can't wait to get my card

OMG... if there is no hard pull... I am definitely opening one of these accounts up.
Better yet, i'm giving the card to my wife so she can bear the humiliation of having to use the card for her daily starbucks purchase to rack up the monthly transaction requirement.

Did you do this after you filled out the application online?
ETA: Nevermind... just saw you had a freeze. Do you have all three frozen or just EX?

soft confirmed! just open one and get approved, waiting for the trial deposit and online banking access! No DD, only 10 transactions, sound fair to me. Anyone know paypal transaction could fullfil their requirement?
I'm ashamed, I'm in too. I opened the MMA as well, no minimum, might as well keep a buck in it to see if perhaps it bubbles up (or boils down) to a top rate.

their website is a hoot...it's a really interesting set-up.....though be aware of two drawbacks: 1) that their ach transfer system is Cashedge (4 days from start to finish on a transfer as per info at their website...and is limited to $500 per day (in or out) and you have to call customer service if you want to make larger transfers.....2)The Bill Pay is limited to 10 free bill pays per month and a maximum bill payment of $1500 (unless you call Customer Service and request a larger amount)......
Update: read on the bank deals blog that even with a request to up the transfer limits, the max amount per day allowed is $1,500 so if you want to move larger amounts in or out you would have to do it using another banks transfer system.....
Always best to read all the fine print before jumping on these things.......then make the decision whether it will be practical for you!
gotta mail in something w my address, thats not making banking fun

Not a big deal. I plan on just parking $25k and buying 10 espresso shots at Starbucks a month. You have checks on account so no big deal if you wont to take a bunch out or could pull from another bank. I picked the horsey card

You'll blow through that $25k in no time.
Nothing screams "redneck" more than espresso shots at Starbucks.
