I'm embarrassed using Charter's stupid little road runner card to make my 13 purchases every month. I really don't need that kind of attention.

Then again, 3.10 APY MMA isn't too shabby either. I'm actually halfway tempted.

Will go good with my First Arkansas rewards card.

Was denied on the online application and figured it was because they could not verify Identity because of freeze. I called and that was the reason, They are going to call me back about other way to verify. Also I asked if this was nationally available and was told it is

According to Bankdeals:

"The online application for these accounts uses the Cashedge service."

Does that mean a hard pull?

Is it April Fools? Redneck Bank is their name? Seriously?

I'm waiting for a call back about that. I told rep I would unfreeze if it were just for verifying Identity and not a hard pull. I do know I have unfrozen a couple times with no hard pull resulting. He was going to find out and call me back. So I had to tell my Secretary I was expecting a call from Redneck Bank and she looked at me real strange.

For real,
Redneck Bank® is the Internet Banking Division of Bank of the Wichitas®, a bank that was established in 1913, is insured by the FDIC, and has a long history of excellence in the banking industry. So while we have a little fun banking together, you can rest assured your money is safe with us!

looks like it's working cause I really want one of those cards

Does anyone know how long does the checking rate stays at the high rate?

Called and got the answer. They said that they have had that rate for 2 years and do not plan on changing it anytime soon.

Personally, I want the card specifically for that reason.

But, then again I am in AL so I figure the humor may be lost on some.

Sure I will just leave the Audi at home and pull up in my FJ cruiser that I just added a Bull Bar to. I think it's great marketing, I really did not want any more accounts but I gotta have that card

Any easy way to automatically satisfy 10 transaction/per month requirements?

alert mods

in NY, if you use either the MetroCard or the Path trains, they allow you to get a refillable card. you can choose to have the card refill with a credit card on file every time you fall below a threshold.

MetroCard EasyPayXpress

PATH SmartLink

these may not get you all the way there...you can always buy $1 items @ Burger King or McDonalds or something

Wow, this is like a Japanese game show. How much humiliation will we withstand to make an extra couple of points on our checking account?
