Just a followup in case anyone is interested. I was instantly approved for $13,800 and it is already showing up online with my other BoA accounts. Transfer was "fee free" and since I have a few thousand left from rolling one of my cards over, I'll roll over my Lowes same as cash deal from last year too...free interest for one more year on that. BoA just cancelled one of my cards for "inacttivity for 12 months"...this filled its shoes nicely!
I know this thread isn't about the card I keep bumping, but I've had good luck with this card. After I nearly maxed out the zero % offer, my card arrived. While activating it, BoA asked if I needed to do any more BT's. I stated that I have maxed the card out to which she replied, you have $18,700 in an unused card that I could roll over to this card. She offered to roll over $18,600 ($100 left on other card to keep open) so now I've moved over the rest of my expiring zero % money until 2/10. I usually don't like BoA, but it's been much better so far on this deal than previous cards that I've had through them
note for those interested in accumulating more rewards, you are limited to 65K points per calendar year (enough to buy a 1K Sears gift card). No monthly max.
does this make any sense to you guys? I applied and was accepted for the ADA World Mastercard, but when I check the rewards link it says this:
ADA® World MasterCard®-xxxx
Rewards Details Program: ADA Platinum Select® Business Card
Member Since: 01/26/09
Online rewards activity is currently not available for this program. Please check your monthly paper statement for detailed rewards information and updates or enroll in Paperless Statements to see this information online.
Am I really that dumb? Did I fill out the wrong app?

you dont have to 'enroll'. holding the ADA card you're automatically a member.
Correct- you are automatically enrolled in the Rewards Program at approval. Terms and conditions do not reference the rewards website and registering there only give one online access to rewards program account.

For anyone looking for another option, it looks like citi has resurrected the Professional card with 0% and no fee balance transfer. The offer gives you 15,000 thank you points as well

Thanks goldenkidx. I hope this offer/promo lasts for a couple months.
Just go ahead and pull the trigger on the app, per the T&C:
T&C said: Balance transfer APR: As long as first balance transfer is completed within 12 months from date of account opening, 0.00% for 12 months from date of first balance transfer. After that, 9.24% variable.
Balance transfer fee: 3% of each balance transfer; $5 minimum. There is no fee with the 0.00% APR balance transfer offer described above.
So, similar situation as this ADA card, you get 12 mos to start the BT, and then you get 12 mos @ 0% APR from the start date of the first BT.

I have to give my credit report a rest so that is why I am hoping the offer/promo last a couple more months.
TrueValue said: anybody seen any good offers that give you 0%APR on purchases as well as 0%APR on balance transfers for 12 months?
The Discover More card offers 0% APR on both purchases and APR but charges a 3% balance transfer fee. Capital One Platinum Prestige does the same. I think a trifecta card (0% purchase, 0% BT, 0 fee) maybe impossible now?
EDIT: I think I found one US Bank Linux Card which says for the Plat card:
Annual Percentage Rate for Purchases1 0.00% for the first 12 billing cycle Other Annual Percentage Rates1 Balance Transfers: 0.00% for the first 12 billing cycles for balances transferred with this application2 Other Fees Balance Transfer Fee: No Balance Transfer Fees for balances transferred with this application.
I wonder however you have to do the balance transfer up front with them.

I wonder what kind of credit lines that US Bank Linux card is offering?

Yeah, on this card just make sure you do the balance transfer up front:
Other Fees Balance Transfer Fee: No Balance Transfer Fees for balances transferred with this application.
wow pitflyer, very interesting find. thanks a lot. I'm wondering if there is any hidden drawbanks to the US Bank card, never had a card with them before. I'm wondering how generous they are with credit lines and how often they hassle you with financial reviews, etc. From what I've read, BOA, Citi, and Chase seem to be the most generous with credit lines, with Discover and AMEX being more stringent.
ShakuniMama said: I think the most appropriate thread to discuss any Credit Card other than this card is What Credit Card Should I Get ?
Yes, this thread has gotten corrupted with discussion about the Bank of America card or other cards, and I helped with my response. I'm not going to delete my previous message, but please take any discussions NOT about the Citibank ADA credit card to different topics, including the one listed above.
Back on topic, since ADA Travel Rewards can take several weeks to post, I guess we won't know if points are earned before you register on the website or not. As a gambling man I would bet they are, but I registered anyway once nklp posted those T&Cs. A friend of mine is a dental hygienist and her boss actually has this card (pre-Fatwallet ); shoulda asked about the rewards through her.

So are you guys immediately paying off the $150 and doing the balance transfers? Or are you waiting for the first statement before paying it out of concern the points might not generate otherwise?

Did you pay via online payment today? I keep getting error messages that my payment exceeds my account balance.

I have the Associated card. I took up the BT offer for 12 months right after I was approved. Now, I noticed that I am eligible for a BT for 12 months within the first 12 months, for 12 months from the time I accept the offer. Basically, I started my current BT in May 08, finishing it up in Apr 09. So if I go ahead with taking up another before the end of April, I will get another 12 months 0% with no fee. So this is actually a 23 months card

Hello, in regards to the $150 purchase. Is it limited in any way to as what you make the purchase on. Do you need to spend/ buy on certain things/ categories? Thanks,

One interesting data point on this card. I applied for this to have a 0% BT in hand when my current mini-AOR expires this summer. I got a call this morning from a CSR, who cheerfully moved 40k+ CL from my existing Citi World Mastercard onto this card. Since the World MC CLs don't show on my credit report, I'm guessing my utilization just dropped through the floor.

why didn't the Citi World Mastercard report the limit previously? I have heard of Capital One cards not reporting limits, but then they were pressured into reporting (not sure if a new law was passed requiring them to report or not).

The Citi World MCs have "no preset spending limit". A CL appears on my statement each month, but no CL is reported to the credit agencies. For utilization purposes, that means the CL is effectively zero.
so is it safe to say that if I care about my utilization % a lot, I should totally avoid all cards that have no preset spending limits no matter who they're issued from(i.e. doesn't matter if it's from US Bank, Citi, Chase Discover, HSBC or whoever)?

I don't think I'd completely avoid them, depending on what other benefits they provide for you. If you have one now, or get one in the future, though, check your credit report to see if a CL is being reported for that card. If not, be sure not to include that card when you're calculating your own overall utilization.
Hate to ask, answer likely somewhere above, but --
For people with other Citi Cards, what are the parameters for re-allocating or consolidating credit limits from other cards so as to maximize amount of 0% BT on this card? Any quick way to identify "eligible" vs. "ineligible" cards?

It appears to be a YMMV. There are a couple other threads floating about on how Citi has severely curtailed reallocations onto cards like this, but then there are cases like mine where the CSR called me and offered to do it (on the Citi Professional, not the ADA, but still a card with 12mo 0% no fee BT) with no prompting from myself.

YMMV. Just my experience.
