I have had the two deposits for a few days now but my online account at BOA is still showing 0 balance for the checking account and I had authorized $25.00 be deposited from my checking account at my other bank.

Do I need to verify these two small deposits from BOA and if so how?

The application is picky. You have to clock on the lower red lick that says Open now. Also i talked to a BOA CS Rep online just now and asked for a newer code. She said to use this one: crap i misplaced it. it was GROUP50 with 2 more letters after the 50. SOrry I misplaced it already. Oh well just start a live chat with support on their site and ask them for another code. Then dont be an idiot like me and lose it before posting it here for your fellow FW peoples.

you should not have received checks automatically...in fact, there isn't any box to request it.....
I called after my account was set up and requested the free 50 pk of checks that they do supply for new checking accounts without charge...but you must actually call and ask for that...

it doesn't say it on the application...but i know it from experience
just be nice when you talk to the CSR and call during the week in the daytime...

I am having a great amount of difficulty in opening a checking account with the $50 bonus! Any suggestions? And yes, I am signing into my account before attempting to open it. I am just about ready to give up!

Odds are we are going to have to wait. When I did their $100 promotion, it took the full time, though I was also surprised it came in the form of a check instead of an account credit.
