My wife received the $100 bonus on 7/17, which was 3 weeks after her second direct deposit over $250. I used my employer to fund her direct deposits. I guess the one bonus per household limit is not being enforced.

You need to keep it open 90 days to avoid an early closing fee of $25 - see the quick summary.

I got my bonus!!! 48 days after the first $250 DD from E*trade.

I got the bonus the same day as my 3rd real DD, opened online.

fyi....

you can close the account without even calling. I sent a request for closure and included the SSN and DOB. They responded.

they said:As you instructed, we have issued a request for account number 0030xxxxx to be closed. The account status should reflect closed within five business days.
