Hope this is isn't a repost, I searched and didn't find anything. I got this email from US Bank today. I called the number I got off of the US Bank web site and verified that it's legit & that there is no promo code needed. It appears to be a targeted offer - note the "Offer is not transferable" in the footnote - but maybe someone can figure out how to work it. I currently have two credit cards with US Bank.

I got pretty much an identical offer via regular mail a few months ago. I opened the account, use ING to satisfy the DD requirement, and got my bonus. It was fairly painless. I also had a USBank credit card prior to getting the offer.

You beat me to it OP! But I do not remember seeing the DD requirement. Have to double check though.

I got a different offer 3-4 months ago for $100, went to the branch, no hard pull there, the bonus posted within a month, no hassels. Still waiting on my WAMU promotion I opened a day before.

This deal has been sent out again. I have an AOR credit card with them and just got a $150 offer in the mail.
Relevant terms and conditions:
$50 min balance to open, open by 9/30/09, recurring direct deposit of $100 within 60 days, credited with 6-8 weeks after DD established.
It doesn't look like there is any sort of offer code, so I don't see a way to get in on it unless you are targeted.

Anyone have success using paypal for the recurring direct deposit? and by recurring deposit, I spaced the deposits exactly seven days apart within 1 hr of each other. Anyone have any experiences on how they made the deposit recurring: weekly, bi weekly, monthly, daily?
