Searched but could not find this. Hope it is not a repost.
Here's the info from the website: link (I have found that this link always redirects to the latest promotion) To open a new checking account, apply online or go to a banking center and reference offer code AOU260609 Here’s how to get your $75.
* This offer is available only to new customers who open a qualifying personal checking account with a minimum balance of $500 * The new checking account must be open for at least 30 days * You must make a minimum of one transaction with the newly assigned check card
Offer expires 8/30/2009 and only new customers who have not closed a BofA checking account within the last 3 months are eligible. $75 is deposited within 90 days of account opening. Limit one offer per household.
I saw two other promotions but this one also allows you to open the account in a branch. This is useful if you are not a citizen or permanent resident. However, MyAccess checking is free only when opened online. Otherwise a direct deposit is needed to waive monthly charge. When I applied in branch last time I got a hard pull. ACH push worked as DD for me.
they are jacking fees for EVERYONE in JUNE.... this is just a mony making trick for them. Some accounts are 12+ bucks a month...
Be warned...

As was stated on here many, many times in the past, BofA is only jacking the fees up if you CURRENTLY pay a monthly fee. If you opened (or will open) the MyAccess account online, the bank will not charge a monthly fee.
anyone else get this after you click on open account "Get $50 when you open a new checking account online with a $100 minimum opening deposit and meet all other requirements. Use offer code AOU260609 in the application."
and does boa allow use of credit card for first deposit?
BEWARE, bank of america reports credit card funding to credit company as a cash advance. I asked a rep online if it would count as a purchase or a cash advance and they told me purchase, so of course i did it with credit card for $1000.
Low and behold i get on my credit card statement to see a $30 fee for a cash advance. Huge hassle, finally got bank of america to reverse the charge and the capital one rep told me they could refund the $30 if it was reversed. We shall see.
Big PITA, just avoid it, i certainly will never bank with bank of america ever again, that is for sure.
