If no one posted I would start to wonder whats wrong with this offer. The fact that its popular gives me feedback that there is something to it. |

Apparently there are several variables that Chase uses to determine their instant approval or 30-day deferral decision. I seriously doubt we will be able to determine or “understand” their criteria. |

Great! Signed up my husband, got instant approval. Credit score in the upper 700s, he has one Chase card with no balance, HHI ~ 130K. Unfortunately I just "upgraded" one of my other cards to Chase Sapphire so I couldn't apply for the Preferred. |

Thanks OP. I got an instant approval, but the wife got the 30-day notification. HHI is ~50k, we each have an existing Freedom card, and credit scores are in the upper 700s. |

Lets see if there are any patterns here. Instant approval. My credit score is usually in the mid-upper 700s (haven't checked recently). Have three other Chase cards and a mortgage with them. I don't carry a balance on my other cards but have $5K or so on my current statements. HHI is upper-middle class I suppose. |

No love for me from Chase...have to wait 30 days for their decision, which is most likely negative. I have about 5 Chase cards (3 from Chase, 2 from Chase branded retailers). |

I only have a chase freedom card. Has 16k limit with 0 balance and never any transwactions. Credit score 740ish and I got the 30 day thing. My wife with no cc at all, credit around 680 got approved instantly. go figure |

Great offer! These aren't as common as they used to be. I applied for the heck of it. I got in on the $250 travel card offer this past fall and haven't used that yet. Pretty sure I won't get approved, as I already have a CL with Chase equaling about a third of my HHI. |

Did anyone notice the concierge service? Concierge Chase Sapphire comes with a complimentary concierge service. Call anytime, 24/7, and a personal concierge can give you recommendations on restaurant reservations and entertainment, and even help you select the perfect gift. |

Chase Sapphire Preferred Offer Details: 25,000 points after first purchase You will receive 25,000 bonus points with this bonus offer, which can be redeemed for a round trip ticket on most major airlines up to a $312.50 value... Going strictly by their offer, it appears these 25k bonus points can only (?) be redeemed for an airline ticket???? Yes, it doesn't say 'only' but there is no mention of other possibilities! Maybe these bonus points are in a special category for redemptions??? Am I being too cautious, too suspicious here? After all, it is Chase and they can be quite anal. |

It's similar to an old Chase Freedom Plus offer where they advertised it as 25,000 bonus miles, but there was no problem redeeming them for cash instead of a plane ticket. |

Unless instantly approved, you can expect to receive a denial letter from Chase in the next 10 days (just based on my recent experience). |
