BTW, I have seen 0% APR Discover cards for 6-9 months on this link http://www.discovercard.com/credit-cards/ but with Discover there is no escaping that 3% BT fee; unless they send you a special offer or something. Though I have not seen one for a looong time. |

Do you guys know of anyway I can get that CL in a high interest savings account? Unlike Citi, they don't give you a check for the CL. I can only use the BTs for paying off other CCs. TIA I thought they used to issue BT checks, but I don't remember. If not, do you not have any cards with balances you could send the BT to? What about a HELOC with a 16 digit card? |

TIAAtleast as of last fall, US Bank would deposit BTs into your checking account, or mail a check to whomever you tell them to (you just need to provide a name, address, and "account number"). But you need to call since you cannot make such requests online. |

Rob Last time I bumped I used:
1. Chase IDProtectiont: https://www.chaseidprotection.com/ 2. AMEX Credit Secure: https://www124.americanexpress.com/cards/loyalty.do?page=credits... 3. CreditKarma (for TU only, but free): http://www.creditkarma.com/ AMEX Credit Secure (need a AMEX card) is my favorite b/c you can update your report anytime during the next day, and don't have that 24 hours + 1 minute rule. I think it cots about $11 per month, same with Chase. Its been about 10 months since I've done bumpage, can anyone provide info that these services will no longer b*? Do you know if National City ID protect allows for daily pulls in thier $1 trial period for the first 30 days? I know AMEX Credit Secure does not let you daily pull until after the trial period. My sister's BOA statement was today, and I need to make sure the balance is reporting at $0 and don't want to waste it today if it still shows a balance and won't let me update for 30 days. TIA |

It'll take 3 or 4 days to update at all the CRAs to zero. Check for free with the EQ backdoor. EQ & TU update slower than EX usually. |

I called US Bank and they said that the checks have a 3% APR and any transfers done over the internet or phone will have no BT Fee and 0%APR and they can ONLY be balances from other CCs. I'm sooo bummed. I wonder... what if I gave them my 16 digit CC from my Checking account's debit card and transfered the entire CL to my checking account? Any thoughts? |

I think almost all the BT's to debit cards get reversed, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. |

What worked for me was to give the following: Name of Bank Address of Bank Checking/Savings account number. Check with your bank to ensure they accept checks made out this way. For example, Charter Bank (which I have a rewards checking account at) requests that if you want to deposit a check from one of your other acounts that you make it out to the bank with your account number in the memo. So the BT check the US Bank mailed to them went through with no problems. |

I just recalled that I've also had US Bank mail out a check to my checking account. They just (or at least used to) mail out check, so when they ask for an account number, it doesn't have to be 16 digits. I just gave them my standard checking number before and the check was deposited 2 weeks later into my checking account. If others have more info in this regard, let us know please. BTW, another data point is that US Bank pulls ICS, which tracks all inquiries at YOUR ADDRESS FOREVER. I can guarantee you this is why my sister was denied, rather than "length of credit history" BS which is for over 3 years. Time to FREEZE ICS for my upcoming apps. Does anyone know if you can have more than one US Bank Card? Both mom and dad already have one. Do I have to close it in order to get a new one? Both of them have $25k lines. |

I believe new memberships now pull every 30 days. see imnotcheatin responses As for ICS, I presume you've seen my 2.0 thread or read the dedicated ICS thread but I've never known anyone to freeze their ICS file since it is a fraud detection tool and not a traditional CRA. Nevertheless, please keep us posted on your experience with freezing. |

Nevertheless, please keep us posted on your experience with freezing. My sister signed up for Nat. City ID protect yesterday. Its been 40 hours now, and I can't figure out a way to update the report. She's a new customer. Could someone tell me how to update the report? It's important b/c I'm trying to see when her BOA balance drops off. I'd like to get her apps fired off before I leave for travels for two weeks, so all the cards will be waiting when I get home. Jack, I'm reading your entire AOR 2.0 thread again now to refresh myself. About 2/3 the way through. So many golden nuggets in there, thanks for so meticulously documenting it all. |

You could pull her reports via the backdoor and see if they updated. |

dispute the BOA balance...then you'll know for sureCrap. Nat City DOES NOT allow for daily pulls in the trial period, just like AMEX Credit Secure. In fact, the service itself looks identical too. In the past I've disputed balances to speed things up. Its a PITA, and I've have several CSR's bring it up when I call in for CLI or consoldiation or other help. Sounds like they dont' like it. And, her statement generated on the 19th, so it should be at $0 already I'd think; I just need to verify it. Damn, now I have to sign her up for another service. PITA. |
