iam very interested on how this turns out. I have an iphone 3g and the customer service in ATT is horrible. I was able to remove the data plan a few months ago, and as a result got no voicemail. Then this month i got a huge bill telling me they added the dataplan back on saying that in the contract they had the right to do so and then bill me the difference of all those months i didnt have the data plan... So basically iam paying for things i never got, those months without voicemail or data plan, and i told the csr that the origional rep that cancelled the dataplan let me cancel, and never told me it will be added back anyway.... and she basically said ATT has the right to do so, and to pay up. |

30-day trial period AT&T is allowing iPhone 3G hopefuls a 30-day trial period. Anytime within the first 30-days of the iPhone 3G’s activation, the customer can return the handset and have their service immediately terminated. Contract termination within 30 days will not incur an ETF (Early Termination Fee), but after day 30, you’ll be paying through the nose to cancel your iPhone plan. If you cancel on or before the 30th day of iPhone 3G activation, you must return the iPhone 3G handset. If you cancel after that magical 30-day mark, you’ll be allowed to keep the iPhone 3G handset, but keep in mind that you’ll be paying a hefty ETF.
To cancel service within the first 30 days, the customer must return their equipment to the place of purchase (no exceptions). If the customer cancels service after 30 days, they will be charged the ETF. The customer is not required to return the device to cancel after 30 days. http://www.intomobile.com/2008/06/10/att-iphone-3g-pricing-upgra... Options: 1. Go to an ATT store and explain your activation/cancellation problem to the rep, I'm sure they'll be happy to replace your old phone and sign you up for a new contract. 2. Return your canceled phone to ATT (within 30 days) no ETF/activation fees. 3. Keep your non-activated, non-contract, non-subsidized phone and be billed up the wazoo. 4. Wait 31+ days and hope the ATT Mother ship has forgotten your IMEI number and doesn't bill you??? (hahahaha) Sell on eBay for a profit! |

how childish...they are in business to make a profit...this is intentionally stealing from a company
You have an interesting definition of "stealing." he was not charged the correct price for an item and is hoping the don't catch it so he can keep the item...that is theft |
