I have given up on the search on this forum. Everytime I searched the archives I receive: An internal Error has occurred. The full error details have been sent to the FatWallet technical staff for further investigation. Maybe the technical staff will PM me the results of my search |

FYI, I requested my cash via check today... notice I made a few bucks in interest that I was expecting... I got $2.60 cents for only a fews days of a 10K balance... what the hecks was the APY on that account? Update - I received and cashed the check last week (10/15). Yay free money.

Update to July 27th complaint regarding $200 bonus (follow-up was in this Aug 17 post) I received $200 from Zecco finally in spite of not receiving a personal invitation from GAIN Capital. In the attached spreadsheet, the $200 shows up as a fee but was, in fact, a credit to my account. $200 was worth the 30 minutes of email time it took to lodge my complaint, IMO. |

Update Request #2: Has anyone tried to withdraw after 90 days and been able to get a check or wire? A CSR was quoted earlier saying the cut-off was 90 days instead of 180. Data Point regarding 90 day withdrawal request... I received a check from GainCapital* I funded $15,000 with a credit card on July 8th. I placed two trades on July 16th. I requested refund on October 16th. *They sent a check for $5,031.75. They returned $9,983.47 + $16.53 to the card. edit: I also disputed the $200 bonus successfully. They credited the amount on the same day the withdrawals happened. I now have $200 left in my account. edit2: Added "+ $16.53" to message. The first withdrawal request was actually October 9th but the only credit I saw was for $16.53. I followed up with a second fax to withdraw on October 16th and that's when I saw a $9,983.47 credit and $5,031.75 check. |

How much amount you request to withdraw? If you request $15000, why them split the amount into two different methods of refund? Many thanks! jackcrawfish said:narshe14 said:MikeR397 said:Update request: Has a single person been able to withdraw money via check or wire yet? If so, how?

I wonder if they would be OK with me doing an ACAT transfer to another brokerage. Can you do that with forex, since you're not really holding securities? |

Isnt there a fee from Zecco's end of you do an ACAT out?Who cares about a small fee if you've got a lot of cc funded deposits to move out (somewhere besides back to the cc). |

Datapoint for those CC funding people out there that are throwing in the towel on waiting 180 days with an excessive deposit balance at Zecco: Bottom line:If there are some upcoming large ticket purchases and/or large arbitrage CC balances that are depending on your Zecco $$$, think twice... it may take 30+ days to get a check from your issuer. My story: After requesting a credit balance refund on 10/20/2009, I received a notice from my issuing credit card today (10/29/2009). They have told me they need 30 more days to verify payment(s) (in fact, they were returns from Zecco - but what's the point in arguing)... Letter said:Dear jackcrawfish:
This letter is regarding your account. We are currently verifying a recent payment(s)in order to process your refund request. You will receive a response regarding your refund within 30 days. We appreciate your patience while this matter is being resolved. (sigh) UPDATE: On 11/12/2009, my card issuer released the hold on my credit balance refund. |

Has anyone been able to withdraw the $200.00 bonus? My 90 days was on 10/23/09. I had $835.00 left in the account, $501 from the remaining of credit card funding and the remainder was the bonus and the gain from the trading. On 10/24/09, I put in a request to withdraw all of them. So far they only returned $501.00 to the credit card and $334 still in my account. I just send an email to them, will update once I get the response. Anyone has similar experience? 11/4/2009 - Got an email response back. No explanation why they didn't process the entire withdrawal request. Instead this guy just merely told me that I should put in another withdrawal request. So I did. Hopefully the $$$ would go out. I am about have it with Zecco. Last month Zecco accounting department made a mistake on my stock trading account and as a result I had 0.01 margin call. Called them and was told it would be taken care of. A week later nothing happened then after another email, the 0.01 margin call was taken care of. |

MikeR397 said:I wonder if they would be OK with me doing an ACAT transfer to another brokerage. Can you do that with forex, since you're not really holding securities? No, because as the withdrawal page state, GAIN Capital takes the other side of your purchases. You don't actually hold any of the securities or currencies - they are accounts on the system. In other words, this is a bucket shop. |

I ended up getting 2 checks today for the remaining balances in my forex.com account and my zecco forex account. I did not try and do anything special to have the checks sent. All I did was place a couple of trades initially to get the bonus, and have waited ever since to withdraw my money (a few days after the 90 days necessary). They did end up calling me and asked why I was cashing out, I responded and they said the checks had been sent. I had only $100 left in the zecco (the bonus) and the forex.com account had a little over $2,600 (deposit + bonus). |
