$75 cap on the BT fee, too. Nice job, OP.

Give us a break, the other thread is almost 16 months old. Sometimes the obsession of repost police is litle too much to take.

VanceWade said: $75 cap on the BT fee, too. Nice job, OP.But the other US bank offers have no BT at all .

Tells me that the PBR, Baylor and Linux ToSs might be changing soon too.

hmm. You're right. Somehow, I had it in my head that these were 6-month deals only.

What kind of Credit Limits are people getting from US Bank? Good info to have before I consider adding to my "portfolio"...

Technologist said: What kind of Credit Limits are people getting from US Bank? Good info to have before I consider adding to my "portfolio"...

I received a 10K limit, which was about my average line when I applied a year ago. I know things have changed in the past year, but maybe this can be a datapoint.

Technologist said: What kind of Credit Limits are people getting from US Bank? Good info to have before I consider adding to my "portfolio"... I got 11K just a couple months ago even with outstanding $40K in AOR funds.

Technologist said: What kind of Credit Limits are people getting from US Bank? Good info to have before I consider adding to my "portfolio"... As for a $24.5k BT on the "Visa Platinum" version of the card that says "Lines of Credit up to $25,000." Trust me, it helps .

I have about half the amount you have on AOR, and I got wait listed

i got 25k from US Bank during my february AOR. Linux VISA. i didnt ask for a BT during the app.

yeah anyone got any 4 digit promo codes for the usbank linux visa? they would only give me 3030 which is normal purchase APR and 3% fee no limit. lame.

I applied last month, asked for $20K limit for BT and got approved for 10K limit.

Works for me.

did you guys got decision pending or instantaneous decision ?

AMEX reducing my credit line down to 1000 from 25K is hurting me I guess, because now my Credit Utilization is high.

Thanks

QS of U.S. Bank cards thread Text has a whole list of cards offered with zero fee 0% APR on BTs.

just applied. application said pending, but then allowed me to fill out a balance transfer. does this mean im approved?

user3657 said: just applied. application said pending, but then allowed me to fill out a balance transfer. does this mean im approved?

no

and to add a data point, I got a 12k USBank business card earlier this year

applied last friday
got approved today
requested BL transfer 18K on application
limit offered 10K
experian pulled
thanks a lot OP

Woot Woot ! Applied and got approved for 21K w 20K blance transfer. However, the $75 BT fee although not bad is a bit..... They told me to talk to customer service and they might be able to do something. I wonder if anyone has any experience with their customer service yet ?

I should have just applied for the no fee card...

I remember from the last time that I was able to call and transfer balance to savings. Does anyone know if you can transfer to savings after approval of this card? Has anything changed? I no longer have any balance on any card so no way of pulling anything except credit balances. On that note Citi used to be most friendly on credit balances I wonder if this is still so. Is BOA at all friendly on credit balances?

What makes this deal preferable to the linux/pbr and all those other cards? Why would wasting $75 make your wallet fatter?

So I did not know that US Bank will NOT deposit the BT funds in the saving/checking account. I already do have a balance to transfer but did not know the address of the previous lender off top of my head while talking to US Bank customer service. So i asked them if they can put it in my savings and ill pay my previous lender myself.

And the lady goes, Oh NO NO NO NO..... and was about to throw a fit when I assured her, Okay fine... lets mail the funds to my previous lender.

What is this world coming to ???

I applied around 2 weeks ago. Called and was told got a credit limit of 12K. I asked for 20K and got approved. I have a credit score of around 740.

A question. I want to transfer to my Bank of America debit card and US bank was asking for a credit card payment address. Can I use any of bank of America credit card payment address? Is there only one payment address for all bac credit card? Thanks very much in advance!

US Bank would NOT let me transfer to my checking/savings account and specifically told me that their BT is ONLY FOR credit card balances. Now if they let you put balance on Debit card.... i assume you want to cash the balance from debit card to your savings account ? Seems like a good way, but im not sure if it works, because dont debit cards usually have a limit or something....

From their website, there is a convenience check option. Here's what it says,
"Pay another person (or yourself) with your credit card or line of credit." Based on that, it would appear it would be ok to do a BT to your personal account.

Same here, spoke to 2 reps. They would only transfer to a debit card as a cash advance, not the 0% BT.

I closed my account.

Did you tell them it was a debit card, or just give them the number?

Just slightly off the topic, but does us bank still allow credit line reallocation(CLR) from existing cc?
Looks like a lot of issures have recently decided not to allow CLRs..
I personally have a card that was used for 6k BT for a year w 10k(later became 12k) line and would definitely like to use this to get a larger line and thus larger BT.

Been confirmed quite a few times already:
-US Bank can BT to any account and address, it doesn't have to be 16 digit CC.
-Can also take out a no fee BT from another card and use US Bank to pay that off, etc.

so we can give them our BoA debit card number and it will count as a BT?

I already have a US Bank alumni card. Would I do better to apply for another US Bank Card or have my wife apply. Both of us have good credit but mine is probably slightly better.

I want to get the Citi AAdvantage World MasterCard that will give me 30,000 miles after $750 purchase but then transfer that card's balance to this card with 0% 12 months on Balance Transfer, can I do that? is it safe?

thanks

It depends on your and your wife's util % on the credit report, and how high your current limit with US Bank is, in comparison to your AVG credit limit on other CCs. If you have a pretty decent limit already on the US Bank card, and your wife has good util % on her credit report, then I would definitely recommend your wife applying over you. Good Luck and keep us posted on how it goes. Thanks.

That depends. Not sure what your credit report looks like, but essentially, you would have to apply for the Citi card first. Then receive it and use $750+. Then you would have to apply for the US Bank CC and on the application request a BT to the Citi card. The thing is, with the US Bank CC, the application says it is 0% on BT for BT done WITH the application. So, that could mean you have to do it ONLY when you apply, which would mean you would already have to have applied, rcvd, and used the Citi CC.

Now, if your credit report is strong, and you don't think it would be a problem getting approved for 2 CC within the span of 2-3 months, then go for it. The only other main concern would be to see if the 0% offer from US Bank is still around when you finally do get to apply. Good Luck and keep us posted with what you decide. Thanks.

This is what the application says, but it is not the actual experience of everyone who has reported to FWF, including me. You get the no fee BT for thirty days after account approval.

Oh ok, cool, good to know. Thanks.
