Just thought I'd give a heads-up to other 5/3 CC customers that there's now a $19 inactivity fee if you don't use your card for 12 months. Not sure I see a compelling reason to keep this open, as it doesn't really have any benefits. I just opened it for a 0% BT.

Are there any other credit cards that charge inactivity/dormancy fees?

News article mentioning this, as well other not-so-FWF-friendly "innovations" in the CC industry:

5 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions.

Do they give large credit line. I was about to apply for one due to 6 month 0% but if they give small line then I will pass.

5/3 gave us a $28K line but that was in 2007.

Sounds like Fifth Third bank is one of those regional lenders that isn't large enough to be systemically important and might be headed for failure. I'd cap all deposits at levels covered by FDIC so these Cincincinnati yokels can't screw you.

I think 5/3 branches take the icing on the cake for the volume of lies
I've been told by banks. Each branch has such little corporate support
and they will "lie" to get out of doing anything that negatively affects
the branches numbers.

There are a few branches with enough sales numbers that they don't have to
worry about all the other numbers, but if you walk into a 5/3 and only
see one teller behind the counter, don't expect any favors and pay very close
attention to make sure your transaction is processed correctly.

why not just use the card once in a few months to avoid the fee.

5/3 blows hard
