I received a letter in the mail from Discover card about a 0% promo APR on purchases of $200.00 or more within a two month window (Sep. 15, 2009 - November 15, 2009). The 0% APR ends Feb 2010. I was wondering if someone else received this letter and if there's a way to get cash and not pay it until Feb 2010? At first I was thinking of purchasing gift cards totalling the amount of my credit limit, then cashing the gift cards, but I think most companies have strict policies in cashing out GCs with huge sums in them. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.
I got an offer, but a few grand at 0% for < 6 mos ain't worth losing out on the upcoming Discover mall promotion (hope hope hope). Remember, they will apply payments to the lowest APR balances first, so expect a finance charge if you use this card for anything under $200.
