$12 & $15 fees. However, no time requirements! Nice find.

That fine print sure is a pain in the ass to read...

Where did you see a $15 fee? I think I saw a $12 monthly fee for balances under $2500, but no mention of any other fees.

Edit: nevermind, I see: http://www.dimewill.com/checking.asp

Yea I couldn't read the fine print, I was just going to my Dime Account and noticed they just started this promo today and figured I would put it here.

It says "There are neither account minimum balance nor balance time requirements to obtain the bonuses. If you close your account within 6 months of the opening date, any bonuses paid will be deducted at the time of closing"

Contradictory?

I just tried calling them, the voice mail message has such an obnoxious new york accent. Doesn't seem promising.

Keep your account open for 6 months with a $1 balance. Though you'll probably want $5000 in there to avoid the $15/mo fee.

Keep this in mind:
Direct Deposit Requirement – Direct deposit of payroll, pension, or government benefits or use of Dime’s
online bill payment services must be maintained each month to remain eligible for this account type. If
this requirement is not maintained, you may be required to close the account upon 30 days written notice.

Per the fine print, looks like you get the first $100 soon after sign-up, another $100 for setting up DD within three months, and a third $100 for two online billpays within three months; however, the $200 won't be credited until six months after sign-up.

okay so $15 * 6 months = $90 but you get $300 in bonuses. Net profit =$210?

Don't forget Uncle Sam, he gets his cut. Your basis for interest is the full $300, not $210. This isn't like an early withdrawal penalty on a CD where you can deduct that from your declared interest.

$200 for $5000 over 6 months = 8%. Pretty good. Why would you not put the full $5000 in.

Or just stick $2500 in there for 6 months. Better to lose $7 of compound interest than pay $12 for maintenance fees.

I'm wondering the same thing...

Bank deals is saying this is open to anyone, but there may be a hard pull.

So put in 5K, get $300 plus $13 interest. That's about a 13% APY for 6 months... seems like a good deal.

They said that they will do a hard credit inquiry in the application via eFunds. What's that?
