WAMU Mortgage Reports Twice at Trans Union in: Subjects › Credit

For those with a WAMU mortgage, if you check your Trans Union credit report today, you might see 2 distinct mortgage debts owed to them. NOTE: many times a mortgage is listed as 'transferred to another lender.' This mortgage, however is not yet reporting that way.

Can anyone else confirm that this is not an anomaly?

Did WAMU/CHASE do this for all current mortgage holders?

My mortgage debt doubled from 136k to 272k overnight. I have filed a dispute.

This just looks like a foo-up on TU's part due to the account numbers.

I've had this kind of thing happen before, and disputes usually fix it. However, in one case, the duplicate account got changed to closed, and I'm now stuck with it.
