Should have shorted at 11.5 ...now at 11.15 you have great speed and temperament to handle this trade profitably no doubt, but longer term short, IMO, is suicide. given the hype going into wednesday. i think it will continue to rise into PDUFA even though I'm scared crapless by the volatility.
then again, there have no short oppurtunities that you didn't call (that I've seen) and became accurate predictions. scares me even more going into PDUFA. think the sentiment mentality is 80% likely (onxx even addes to that number) and so so much baking in. but boy... if it gets it with CRL, timber of epic proportions.
Shorting ARNA at 11.5 yesterday wasn't bad idea at all.
somebody said they were on the phone w/ nasdaq trying to get answers on why circuit breaker didn't hit. i'm sure they are not alone. that person had all his gains wiped out, and bout back in at a loss. balls... but why no circuit breakers guys? seems they are only there to protect profit to a few, but not losses to many.
Looks like couple of these guys dumped all their shares and moved on. Simple profit taking, nothing unusual.
couple of guys huh? selling 8M shares then buying back 1/2 (if that was them, inclined to believe so).it's a little more than unusual, imho. have you ever seen 30% wiped out in 10 secs w/ no news reported (minus ROSG, and all their nefarious reverse splits)

Happens a lot with companies who gain 200% in less than 2 weeks. It is down only 30%.
Each company has different risk management, These fund managers were probably already up 300-400% on their investments and probably didn't see much upside. They probably wanted to put all their profits in some fund that got cheap after yesterday's selloff. Just guessing

^^ i know right! we are debating the same thing. closes green, or down 30%+, these biotechs make msft and aapl feel like checking accounts.
ARNA back to 10.. Just need 20% more to get back to 12
How many shares? edit: Could go back to $12 today considering the lunacy lately I meant ARNA needs to go up 20% more to reach at 12. I had 2000 shares buy order at 8.9 but I missed the boat. I think it went to 9.01 but went up.
Picked up shares at 10.22, sold $10 strike puts 63c.... layoffs are good, trimming fat very positive IMO, 50% of employees in big corporations are dead wood do nothings anyway.
RIMM is pretty much dead company for now...going in NOK way.
mariusz, are you still holding RIMM? I'm not very positive about this company.
f--k money makers for taking all the cheap shares, i am not 1500 long for ARNAconda. See you guys Wednesday, don't wanna hex myself.however, i put in WAY too much research into this company to let it slide. When coalitions of doctors are sending in 100 page docs to the FDA pleading for a drug approval based on a preponderance of efficacy to a morbidly obese society, with little to no side effects, I don't see how they could deny it. Either way, I can live w/ the loss as it was free cash anyway.
