I think it'll be like CROX and skin every short alive before the descend.

Would be interested to hear what the reports say. Coffee futures are down ~40% from 2011 highs, but I haven't seen coffee prices at the grocery stores come down at all.
Got in on the WFM bump yesterday. Unfortuantely, got out in futures early and lessened my profit by 2k. Been hit and miss since March. Note to self: never trust finances, even w/ blowout earnings, they will epic fail still.
Was actually playing w/ HLF yesterday in early trading w/ some degree of success but kept getting back in and the floor ultimately collapsed. Glad I gout out at 3% loss. Took some cognitive dissonance cuz despite their MLM strategies (which have been successful for them for some time), emotion (and shorties) triumph anything. Hind sight would have me short the hell out of it too, and Green Mountain. ~'The Einhorn Effect'~ is some tense sh-t! I now wonder where there bottoms are but if unemployment numbers come in bad tomorrow (which I suspect they will), something tells me they have further falling to go, and since Fridays are usually negative these last few weeks anyway...
Anyway, on to greater concerns today... Rackspace earnings after close on May 7th.
I would like to to get some opinions on them, if possible. Yahoo finance boards are kinda ho-hum on this particular cap as well.
I'm up in the air on this company as a sound short term investment. As I see it, their P/E is high and they the earnings whispers seem extraordinarily high for a company that trades on par with Equinix. They also seem to move in tandem. Equinix beat top and bottom but seems the bar was set a lot lower. I also fear guidance may lowered.
What I wanted to gauge is what folks really felt about the Monday report? Crush earnings? I'm starting to get cold feet after looking at this same quarter last year, and also at the insider sales of late. It's really disproportionate to previous quarters and the notion of a very good Q1. That and this earnings season has been very illogical and fed by a mass amount of emotion.
Thoughts to anyone short or long on RAX? I have a friend (of a friend of a friend, you get the picture) that works there and he also doesn't feel like it was a strong quarter; thinks profit sharing will be low for Q.
I have no position in RAX as I write this but may initiate one either tomorrow or Monday before earnings release.

Don't follow me. Jorgeburrito and delcheapo.
I haven't played much this earnings season, it has seemed way more unpredictable than normal. The main options plays I have been making is just selling covered calls and the occasional put on stocks I'd like to own which isn't too exciting.
I will buy SPY calls and VXX puts if we reach the SPY 138.11 area tomorrow or Monday (~1380 on the S&P 500). That is the 61.8% retracement level from the April 23rd low to May 1st high. Only thing I do not like is that there is a possible head & shoulders pattern from late last week that targets 1373 on the S&P 500. Below 1370 and I would have to consider being bearish on equities.

I'm ideally hoping they get bought out, so if you're looking at LF, I think the .30 in time premium is worth it.

Bought out by who?
Hasbro or Mattel most likely. Having kids and a lot of LF products, and when I visit other parents, they all have LF products... they are simply everywhere. I can't think of a parent's house I've been to where I *haven't* seen a LF product of some form.
