Hello everyone. I'm placing this thread under moderation to keep it on topic. Thanks!

OP, it is not article "by WSJ". It is a Peggy Noonan opinion piece. Peggy Noonan is a conservative, as most of the WSJ opinion writers are. But she is a conservative worth listening to, sort of like William Saffire (who passed away recently) who refuse to unconditional support the party line. One of my favorite Noonan piece is this one, also written on WSJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122419210832542317.html

But I don't think FWF is the place to post every WSJ opinion piece you just happen to like. People know where they are and can read them on their own.

they call themselves optimists but they're not optimists—they're unimaginative.

hee hee hee. "they're not optimistic, they just lack imagination." Best sentiment of the entire article.

Exqueeze me. What is the relationship of this article to finance?

Maybe should put this article under lock instead of under moderalock?

Makes a great cat box liner, your cat will take appropiate action.........
