Note that this is now live (care of flyertalk) via this link: 50,000 miles for first purchase, 50,000 for $2,000 in spending within 3 months. http://www.mychasecreditcards.com/britishairways/hp_postpin (edit: the link seems to work with or without the "hp_postpin", so who knows what that means).
T&C for the two bonuses: " You will receive 50,000 bonus BA Miles with this bonus offer, which can be redeemed for 1 transatlantic reward flight in World Traveller, economy class from the USA to Europe Zone 1, or choose to redeem for another qualifying flight. I was wondering about that myself, and although this application does not mention it explicitly as with some applications in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if they use that reason for denial, especially in this tight credit environment. FYI to those who recently applied for the Chase Sapphire card.

Before anyone gets too excited about flying to Europe in first for free, note that BA has hefty fuel surcharge fees. Last year, they ran a mileage promotion under which I thought my wife and I would be going to Europe in business or first class on miles until I learned that we would be paying over a grand in fuel surcharge fees. Still a good deal to be sure, but deflating when we thought it would be a nominal charge. So we didn't go. Still opportunities to use the miles on AA without such fees, but investigate (on Flyertalk) before you jump.

thanks for the sobering note!... hopefully can plan to use it domestic.
largeeyes said:$1k for 2 people in First class isn't bad, but having to use all those miles would suck. Can you tell us more? I assume it was CVG to XXX?
I just looked through the thread on this cc deal on flyertalk, and somewhere in there is a link to the tariff and fee schedule for award miles. With it, you should be able to tell how much money it will cost for an award trip.
