Question about Title Company paying off Credit Card in: Subjects › Question

Is it normal for an lender to request the amount of debt shown on a credit report to be paid to the title company so they can pay the credit card off? Even if the credit card actually has been paid off but is not shown on the credit report yet.

Yes if your lender demands certain debts be paidoff to get a loan they will pay whats on the credit report

If youve already paid the accounts down to zero its usually easier just to get a credit balance refund after closing rather than demand the cc issuer provides payoff letters

I know it seems especially stupid for those who pay their cc balances in full each month
