Just a word of caution! I have purchased several $200 American Express GC's at Office Depot & Office Max locations. The cards were activated and had the correct amounts when purchased but less than a month later 4 of the 10 cards were wiped out due to unauthorized/ fraudulent charges. The first one was replaced overnight by AMEX the rest I'm still working on. They might be replaced as well but they are quite a shock when they are declined at the store. Not to mention the embarassement and the names you would be called behind your back if you give it as a gift. I'd say AMEX has major security issues.
sorry, the purchase fee is waived with the use of coupon, but shipping is still included..
and sorry i guess this should of been in finance forum, but i wanted to be in hot deals, as this does not have any expiration dates.
so since you can buy AMEX GCs with other credit cards, i was hoping people could get extra cashbacks such as 2% CB and use them for future purchases.. and Also (not confirmed) i had a feeling that if you buy anything with AMEX GCs, they will also extend basic manufacturer warranties...

I would think since these were purchased at a retail location somebody( probably a store employee) already copied the numbers from card and used used it online after you bought( activated) it..
purchasing directly from AMEX should solve this issue, i guess
The cards have a 4 digit security code but all the cards have the same code. The first 8-9 digits of the cards are also the same. The call center you call to check your card balance is in India. I guess better than Nigeria but still it is just a question of how much time you want to invest. The unauthorized purchases on my were made over the internet.
