If you have a HSBC weekend master card claiming give you 2% reward for purchases made over weekend, check your reward and see if you get 2%. I made over 50 purchases on past Sats. and Suns, but never given the 2%. The CR said that the transcation must take place over weekend and must be posted to your account over weekend to qualify for the 2%. When I check my transactions, all of them made over weekend, no matter Sat. or Sun., were only posted to my account on the following Monday (clearly, they won't be posted over weekend!), so none of them qualifies for the 2%.
I am also thinking of suing HSBC for misleading customers ( I am in FL), any information or suggestion is highly appreciated.
I have often made purchases on Sunday and NEVER gotten 2% for those purchases. On the other hand, ALL purchases I've made on Saturdays have gotten the 2%. I experimented with some Friday purchases today to see what happens. What I find most interesting is that your statement shows the "transaction date" and "post date". Now one would assume that the transaction date is the date in which you made the purchase, and if that date is a Saturday or Sunday than you qualify for the credit. However, the Saturday purchases I mentioned above all have transaction dates of Sunday. I really don't understand how this card works at all. But I do know that when you request a rebate check, you get it fast, ususally around 5 days after the request.

Well my test worked.
My purchases made on Friday and Saturday during the day both received the 2% CashBack. Sunday purchases did not. Though this was only at one particular merchant where I tested it.
