I've got plenty of BT threads and info to look at, and AOR info. However, I am looking for a new primary card.
I only care about Cash Back. Or rewards that can be used to collect cash/put towards balance. I would hope at least 1% of total purchases. Is there a thread for this already?
General purpose cards w/ good [cash] rewards and hopefully 0% introductory APR for at least 6 months?
Ideally one also that typically gives a decent CL on signup. Chase gave me a crap CL and they ran my credit a second time to tell me "nope sorry, that's as much as we can do" - I wouldn't have applied for the card if I knew it'd be so low. I expected it to be like US Bank where you choose to accept the offer or not when they give you your CL. Apparently each bank does it differently so I'll have to tread carefully if I care at all about my credit...
Also I am looking for a business card (to finally split my business and personal purchases out from each other) - that one the 0% APR shouldn't be as big of an issue, but would be nice to have, and Cash Back would be a good thing too, it will have at least $2k/month on it if not a lot more some months. Is the difference between a "business" card and a normal one just association to a TIN instead of an SSN? Otherwise I see no difference besides how they call it and the rewards they try to push...

Here's my priorities, basically in order.
1) 0% APR for 6+ months 2) Cash equivalent rewards (if points, points should be 1% or more Cash Back or towards balance) 3) No annual fee 4) [Free] Bill Pay (would be nice to put it on my credit card rather than bank account. Sounds like some companies will do bill pay for you even on the card, for things like utilities which don't offer the option a lot of the time)
So far looking around threads and going to bank websites directly (which probably don't show me their "special" offers) I've found these:
- Chase Freedom - Blue Cash from Am Ex - Chase Slate (FirstUSA) - Chase Ink (FirstUSA) - US Bank FlexPerks Cash Rewards - CitiForward
I do already have a card with US Bank. One with Chase too but I want to cancel it. I don't think Chase will give me a decent CL to start.
Seriously, you looked and could not find this sticky thread?

I did, but a lot of offers are out of date now. I don't think you realize how much information is out there for someone new. I'm just asking because perhaps someone can point me really quick to recent offers as opposed to clicking on every single one and reviewing the terms and ensuring it's still the same offer, etc.
I've gone through every "Best Card" thread I could find on here. I know the BT one is grossly out of date. I have commented on the AOR wiki on the ones that are failed or changed or "verified as of 11/xx/2009" so that other people like me know that the card offer is still active as of that date. It's a bit hard to read data that should be structured in an unstructured manner and a list that gets updated with new ones but otherwise a lot of old ones are dead or have changed. Ideally it would be more structured since there are multiple data points (for example something ala btprofit.com)
Yes, I know I can edit the QS too, but I realized that only recently.
Hey, can you come by my Mom's house for thanksgiving and tell my family about how our food is substandard and the wallpaper in the bathroom is out of date?
Guess what, there doesn't seem to be a 0% intro rate purchase thread. Why don't you do some research and start one, instead of slugging off the work of other's on the board.

First off the first response was someone slugging on ME.
Second off, I was just saying I am making this thread because a lot of things are nested inside of threads all over, out of date, etc, if anyone had some recent offers to mention I am all ears.
I figured there might actually -be- a thread already, first off, but when I do searches on here I never find anything inside of the forums (too common of keywords I guess) - also the QS of a thread does not provide the structure that someone like me would find helpful, necessarily. I guess I could try, but something like the AOR user maintained page is much more structured and easy to read. If I wasn't in this game so quickly just to find a couple cards right now and I was planning on doing AOR I would create a tool that tracks all this stuff including comments on each card. It would fields and everything exactly like sites like http://btprofit.com/credit/card/Regular/Promo_Balance_Transfer_A... do it, but a little more interactivity.
I really do appreciate this forum as it has opened my eyes to things like AOR (which I am too chicken to bother with) but also plenty of leads on cards, some have actually come through for me or still been valid but I am sure you are aware that these deals can change on a daily basis. Having something where people can put down "still valid as of XX/XX/XXXX" would be a great help. Ensuring it's kept up to date too. Some of the 12 month ones are down to 6 month. I've read through so many though I don't even remember.
If I do have some spare brain cycles after I straighten out the mess that I'm in thanks to Chase issuing me the card I didn't want, maybe I'll try to put something together. I am very analytical and a QS post can provide basic info but does not really give room for much - winds up having to look through pages and pages to find information or it becomes dated or .. you know the story by now.

I applied for a US Bank card. They showed me my APR, my CL, and gave me the option to Accept/Reject.
I -thought- that's how other sites would do it. Instead, it appears most do not. So I got duped with a "decent" user experience up front. So I got issued the card without even knowing what CL I would get, they already sent off my BT request (which was over 3x what I was approved for, absolutely useless)
I thought I would get an instant approval/rejection and information. Instead it said thanks, we'll send you something in the mail within 30 days. I was able to call and get info about the account 2 days later and was told my [crappy] CL and they tried to bump it and couldn't. I figured also that like most people say "just call and usually they'll bump your initial CL no problem" - not the case here...

Are you sure you werent accepting/rejecting an additional feature, such as their credit protection plan?

Nope, it was the Linux Fund card, right off the link on FW (and also the APR wiki user maintained card page)
I've never applied for credit card online (I don't know how I got the only one I have, it might have been in person in the bank years ago) so I was not aware of the different steps. Most places present the APR info and such in a consistent fashion so I guess I assumed most followed the same pattern.
Anyway, on Chase's form for example, you have to put down your BT's instantly. On US Bank, it did not ask for those, so I got confused - and I called customer service to ensure I didn't sign up for the card and miss my BT chance. US Bank for that card allows unlimited BTs for the first 30 days for the same promotional rate. Another thing I learned - the "BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature Card" from BofA has a 7-10 month 0% APR for purchases, BTs (however 3% BT fee with no cap), and you can add more BTs to the account anytime you want for the same promotional rate. Say you got approved only for 7 months of 0% APR. At month 6 you could add another account - you'd only get one month of 0% though, but still... kind of nice and flexible. Confirmed by two CSRs. I wish it was a 12 month deal, NO fee and the period not variable based on creditworthiness. But oh well. It also has a handful of reward options, discount options and bonuses. I will probably be using it as my primary card, not a BT card. Perhaps if it didn't have the 3% promo fee, 4% after...
If I knew how unique this screen w/ US Bank was I would have taken a screenshot I was thinking of trying to apply for a second card since they've got 12 months of 0% on BT and purchases on those cards, $0 BT fee and 30 days to add as many BTs as you want to it. I might try again if I wind up needing more BT options in the future.

actually, I do have that page printed out. "If you do not wish to accept this offer select the 'Decline Offer' button below" - for the card, not any other upsell. Even says "you should print this page for your records" since it has my personally approved APR, CL, etc.

It's split over two pages (page break between the two sentences)
Does it really matter? It's just some printed out text. If you go apply for those three US Bank cards, you'll see it for yourself I assume.
I mean, it's not like this really helps anyone - I could see where posting the terms of a specific card might help if someone forgot to print them out and they need some sort of proof, but this would just be a scan proving that yes, US Bank prompts you if you want to reject the offer.

It's a claim that no one is going to believe unless you prove it; the process is consistant for all applications, yet you are supposedly the only one who's ever been given this option.

Odd, okay, when I go home I'll wrangle the two sheets together.
