code will only work today (11/22/09) - you get an activation code which you can use at a later time, so just make sure you get the activation code today!
I know she's offered this for free to watchers of her show before, with a code of "people first" or something like that. so if you miss out on this code, I'm sure if you search the net hard enough, you'll find other code to get this for free.
Thanks OP. Looks fairly easy except for those currently living in Florida. If you live in Florida there seems to be no way to re-word the original revocable trust document to include the proper verbiage for Florida residents so you must do the restatement ... and in the restatement, give the date the original trust was executed. Plus, since it won't allow you post-date the date of the "original" in the restatement, it seems that you will need to complete both documents and have them both notarized. A PIA if you ask me. Trying to do a "work around" now and if anyone else lives in FL ... PM me and if I'm able to find a fix ... I'll let you know. Or if someone who understands Adobe editing better than me can explain the editing process, would sure appreciate a reply.
Also seems the site is being hammered so it won't let me get past entering my children's names and DOB's on the pour over will form so can't tell you if that format is legal in FL or not just yet.
My children have been asking me to do this for years. About time I set this up ... and I'm a lawyer!
Acidspectrum ... there is no reason to list your personal asset information. But you will need to list your successor trustee and beneficiaries by name. I suspect you could print it out blank but just make sure you fill in the names correctly.

Why are you on FW? The idea is to spend the least amount of money possible to get the job done. If it works then why pay more? I am sure if you send her extra money she will take it. Maybe that will help you feel better about it?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the option to REP with a positive feature the best way to "thank the OP" instead of clogging the board with "thanks op." I agree it's a useful find, but what good does 100 "thanks op" posts do? It doesn't meaningfully add to the discussion.

You could give Green for being a good deal, but if you actually used the deal I can't say it's a bad thing to actually thank the person who brought you the deal. It also keeps hot topics bumped to the top (since this will end very soon) and it can also be an easy to subscribe to a topic to be notified on newer posts.

wtf is "rep" ... ?
I think it's nice (and reflects good manners) to thank someone for pointing you to a good deal. But if you ever post a good deal (I see you've only made 45 posts in almost 3 years), I'll be sure to not thank you.
I'm not a hypocrite. Give me a green and that would thank me, or any OP. 100 posts of "Thanks OP" dont add any value to the discussion.

Thank you OP. I've used this the last time someone posted it here, but I totally forgot about it. Thank you for the reminder! zubba, showing gratitude to the OP is always good. It also helps people like me remember that we've signed up for the deal.

FYI, I am a trust and estate litigation lawyer. Estate planning like this keeps me in business.
