I have gotten this many times using my AARP card, and have come to believe it is blocked for some reason. If anyone finds a way around this I would be very interested. I tried calling AMEX and Chase and neither could fix it.
If anyone found a way to buy more AMEX giftcards and circumvent the 14 day restriction, please pm-me. I figured authorized card users or virtual cc will do the trick but i dont think so...

Same here. Even with different cards now. Anybody figure it out?
I called and they said that the gc needs to be activated before its registered. Meaning, it needs to be swiped first, most likely purchase anything at b&m store first..maybe buy something for less than $1.. unbelievable, the lengths they go to make our hobby more stressful
chimmy826 said: Very interesting. If I go to AmericanExpress.com directly and attempt to buy, then the codes work no problem.
However, if I link from bigcrumbs - to get an extra 1.4%, then the codes come back as expired or invalid. It's been noticed that some disclosures for these codes say they are link-specific. It's as if AMEX doesn't want to pay both the commission to BC (and possibly other Cash Back sites) and lose out on the fees waived by the promotion code. It would be interesting to get BC's take on this: Do they have have equivalent promotion codes available, and if not, why not?
Works for me. "Promotion Code: EMMOTCM2 - Accepted" and "Promotion Code: EMMOTCM1 - Accepted"
ETA: I think you were trying to order prepaid cards as opposed to gift cards. In that case, yes, I get an error. "We're sorry, but the promotion code you entered is not valid or has expired. Please check to make sure that you entered the correct code and try again or call Customer Service at 1-866-207-7970 (International 1-801-849-2000). "
Hmmmmm I didn't know that there was an otion for gift card.

if we can't get no fee and CashBack togehter, why not pay the fee but get CashBack? lets say we buy 5k worth, that would be $50 in CB but you'd only pay $7.90 in fees? still make $42... did i miss smth?
shipping is free with trial or pay $3 with FW code.
I just got off the phone with AMEX (after getting a purchase declined), they said that its 14 business days, not calendar days between $5000 purchases. Is that right? I thought it was calendar days.
