The nation's largest bank is offering $100 to new customers that open a MyAccess checking account online. What's the catch? The account must be funded with a minimum of $500, open for at least 30 days and you have to use your debit card at least one time. Follow those simple steps and a cool $100 will be deposited into your checking account within 90 days.
Account details: Monthly maintenance fee is waived if opened online No minimum balance Great Value: Get even more from your account with the MyAccess® Checking & Keep the Change® Package
ENTER CODE: AOU261209 (you should get a confirmation of the $100 promotion on the next page)
anyone know whether this offer would be valid for someone whose student checking account is being converted? like could i open one of these and close the other? it has minimums for waiving maintenance fees, etc. which is not nearly as nice as this offer..
FYI, BOA is known to delay and deny these bonuses. I did like 3 of them back in 07 and 09. They always refused to credit my account after the promised date. I once emailed and once called CS. Each of these times they asked for the Promotional Code that I used and I simply read the codes from the printed copies of both the Promotional page from their website and the Redeemed Code Confirmation page. In other words, keep copies of the Offer and the Redemption pages because you will definitely need them.

Don't waste your time with BOA, BOA sucks! Try Chase's $125 offer, much easier, do ACH push from ETrade, etc, within 10 days (I got mine at day 4~6), you'll see the $125 bonus in your account.

go to bankofamerica.com and click on the "checking" link. Select the MyAccess to open account and go through process using code. Apparently, BofA ended the promotion and started it up again in February. This promotion is said to end at the end of February. Ciao.
In the T&C: The new customer is not eligible for this offer if they were a signer on a Bank of America checking account that was closed with the last three months.
I would wait a little more than three months after cancelling before re-applying for this bonus offer.
I have never not received my BOA bonuses, or had any delays. BOA so far has been good to me.

I agree. Last year we opened account in BoA for my wife in July and we still haven't received bonus because they're still investigating if we have met bonus criteria. BoA sucks big! Good luck those who attempt.
ok so i got my Personal identification number (pin), and they have 2 sets of numbers on there ill try to describe how it looks. on the left side its 6 digits, and the right side there is 4 digits. this is how the letter looks like:: ###### <--- Use this number with your Bank of America Card ####
so i am not sure which one is the pin code, the arrow points to the left with 6digits, but my friends told me that pin code numbers are only 4digits..

I know that BOA frequently doesn't pay their promised bonuses, and I've had to fight with them in order to get some of mine, but I always get them in the end because I keep printouts of everything I need. I've gotten about $1,000 in bonuses from them over the last 3-4 years, opening up credit cards, checking accounts, etc... Rinse and Repeat seems to work well with them.

yes...that IS your pin #...they issue random 6 digit pin codes...those are allowed in the US...only overseas won't accept more then 4 digits....so it WILL WORK HERE... however, when you go to a BOA atm, you can change your pin # right in the atm machine (no need to go to customer service) and then you can make it a more familar 4 digit number...

You're very welcome...glad to be of help...yeah, i know i thought it was weird when i got the 6 digit pin from them....those do work in the United States...in fact, going back to the early days of atms (in the 80s) i recall all banks issued 6 digit pins but then later streamlined it to 4 when there was problems using the cards overseas (where they all used the 4 digit system)...
But that's easily changed...the next time you visit a BOA atm....

$500 can be used in earnest, no need to wait to spend or maintain a balance. I scored the $100 bonus in less than 2 months. Now waiting for the $35 bill pay bonus. With all the other checking bank deals, I may just keep the myAccess account open as there are not any dormant fees and such...and BOA IMO has superb online interface. It has super fast bill pay and has nice icons for different transaction types. And BOA is almost everywhere!
