I've not had luck using this over the past two years to extend my father's subscription. Never has worked but good luck to others - maybe you'll may have better luck than me. Maybe it only works with new subscribers?

What you need luck for is for them to stop HARASSING you when you cancel/don't renew. I've called and asked to be removed from their mailing list for more than 6 months, still get shit from them almost every two weeks.
I ordered it for my address and used my nieces name and it overlapped so now we get two copies. My husband brings the extra copy to work to pass onto his co-worker until we stop getting two....

Use a different name but same address and it should work

My experience with WSJ is that they used to allow you to renew/extend your subscription with airline points, then discontinued that option, now it's only for new subscribers. That said, if you get a free subscription, you can go in and manage it online and suspend delivery until a future date, i.e. when your old subscription runs out.

Also as an FYI... If you get the print sub... it will not give you the electronic sub for free like Bloomberg Biz Week.

This is why I canceled the free sub, it's print only not electronic. Bizarre.

Bizzare?! Maybe I'm getting old but don't most people still expect print and the e-version is just a bonus (if/when you can get it)? Just commenting on an interesting comment. This is after all a FREE subscription so I'll take it any way I can get it (I'm in the beggars can't be choosers camp).

There is a limit, but before it restarts go in and change the date again..
Had the original free sub, let it expire. Tried again with a variation of my name but received nothing. Four months later got a renewal notice with the altered name, called customer service and they said I should have been receiving WSJ for the last six months. They apologized and now it is out in my front yard...and I'll probably drive off to work and forget about it again.

I got it for 26 weeks free. It stopped, I am getting it again for 26 weeks... I can't tell when that ends as there is no sticker on the paper. Maybe I can find out online. Anyway, I am in for another 26. My hope is they tack it on the end of this subscription.

How long before it starts showing up? I had it last year and it ended. I'm pretty sure I did this same thing about 6-12 weeks ago. Do they send a confirmation e-mail? I don't need two copies showing up but I sure as hell want one!

If you use the same information, it just keeps on extending your subscription. I've been getting WSJ for well over two years now. Love it! Great paper.

Do you live in the same place? Your local paper is the one that prints it. My local paper prints WSJ, Barrons, and USA Today. There are probably lots of others, too.
