ETA: Still working "for a limited time only."

Treat.com (the new brand from Tiny Prints) is offering a free greeting card to first-time customers. Enter the code FREETREAT at checkout. The ad said that the offer was valid until 4/24, but the fine print below said it was valid until 4/19. I'm risk averse, so I'd go with 4/19.

If you mail the card directly to your recipient, you will be charged the cost of a stamp, but it's completely free to have it mailed to you first.

Here's all the fine print:
Enjoy one free greeting card using the code above at checkout. Limit one card per household. Valid for first-time Treat customers only. Offer is not applicable to previously placed orders and is only valid on treat.com. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify this offer at any time without notice. Ends 4/19/12 at 11:59 pm (PT).

I'm already a member because Tiny Prints transferred my account to Treat. Do you mean that you had already ordered from Treat before the free greeting card offer?

nice! got my mother's day card

OP, Thank you for taking the time to share and post this.

You will need a Credit Card or Debit Card to complete this offer.

As I said above, the greeting card is completely free and no credit card is required if you have the greeting card mailed to you first. I just ordered one myself, and at no point was I asked for my credit card information.

I just completed my order and its free but is still asking for credit card information.

Still placed the order, it was still free but it did require a cc for me. So I just used one of my temporary ones with no balance to make sure I wasn't charged.

That is so strange. I never had to enter mine, and I've never been a paying customer of Treat or Tiny Prints, so it's not like they have it stored somewhere. Oh well, at least it was free, right?

Alright, this was bugging me, so I figured that maybe brand new members (not transferred from Tiny Prints) were having a different experience. I created a brand new account and went through the ordering process (didn't actually submit), and I got the same exact result as before: no credit card information required. Prior to entering the coupon code, it prompted me to "Proceed to check out," but that button changed to "Place order" as soon as I applied the coupon. This is really baffling. What am I doing differently?

That is how it should look. Now once you click on "Place Order" it will ask for debit or credit information.
The card will be totally free no doubt but it does need your debit or credit card info entered.
I placed my order yesterday and got an email that says, "Yes! Your greeting card is on the way"

It asked for my cc info too and because I don't use a cc,I could not get the card.

Sorry, guys. It appears they treat brand new accounts differently for some reason.

FREETREAT still works. They say it's "for a limited time only." Get your Mother's day cards.

Hey thanks! And Advance Happy Mother's Day to all!
