depends on WHAT chemical makeup the fragrances are. renuzit etc are very harsh. there are essential oil candles, perfumes etc that are natural and healthy and even have medicinal side effects such as calming, cleansing etc. They have a huge amount of phaltate and harsh chemical fragrance oils that are safer than ever before for candles etc. if you are truly interested, as most of us are!! for the love of beauty products, candles etc. make sure the person(s)/company(s) actually list what type of oils they use to scent their products. i love educating my customers and they do love to learn new information about such things. anyway, you can't bash all fragrance oils if you do not have the proper information. which is as simple as looking it up so, no.. it isn't worse than second hand smoke.. just educate yourself and make sure the person with whom you buy from uses the type of oils best suited for you and yours! blessings and fragrant clouds of yummy scents. But it also could be someone who WANTS to start a company, and doesn't quite know what they're doing. :/ Anyone who would want traffic to their site, samples are awesome for that! Would have thought to add a newsletter link or perhaps a few products jic someone might be so interested as to buy. Just my humble opinion. But I own B&B companies and see new people pop up who have no idea what they're doing thinking selling soap and candles is THAT easy! lol Anyways, HTH and best of luck!
