Synergy does the same thing, but is cross-platform, open source, and free. Does not support dragging and dropping files. Been using it for years. http://synergy-foss.org/

I love the tool, but I think it has always been free, and you need control over the firewall to set it up. Using it at home, cannot use it in the office.

teamviewer is a much better app that is free and you dont have to worry about firewalls.

teamviewer is a remote control tool, very much like logmein. Mouse w/o Borders works like a KVM, w/o all the hardware.

IMO, this software is the best of the bunch. Unfortunately, the files at microsoft are outdated. I recommend getting 2.1.2.0111 or higher.
