thank you <3

Got them all....thanks
Like Billy Joel said "Don't waste your money on a new set of speakers"
Or music that's free!

While the Ziggy Stardust album is a great-great-great deal, especially if you lost or broke your CD, if you're into David Bowie let me remind you that these days you can get his "Heroes" album for $2.99. Link

one of my fav album

I believe he also said, "all you need are looks and a whole lot of money." So, there's no helping #1. Not paying for albums when they're promo'd for free helps with #2.

Great find...thanks OP!

Dude, in the spirit of you having given me red for my previous comment, I have to tell you that there's freebies I'd rather not get, and there are some "cheapies" which I consider a much better deal than some freebies.

Now on topic: your link is still good, because there are only about 330 albums to browse, 24 on each page. Unfortunately there's too much stuff I'm not into, and aside from a few singles, there's nothing else interesting than what was already posted.

In the spirit of enjoying the weekend and someone taking the time to send the link to all free MP3s... if I've got nothing nice to say, I'm not gonna say it. Thanks coberhu for this linky.

LinkFor what it's worth, I thought your comment was helpful. Granted it's the "Free Stuff" forum and $2.99 is not free, but for those who download the free album and want more, $2.99 for "Heroes" is a very good price and it won't last forever -- it's one of Amazon's promotional selections this month.

DEALS are all dead, show $5 now!

agreed. DEAD.

ziggy stardust not free anymore

Nice while it lasted. Thanks, OP!

You are welcome. We are all here to help each other.

As a person who is in DESPERATE need of NEW music on her iPod, I ask you all this .... does Amazon and/or iTunes have specials on newer music ever, free music days or discounted album days? I'm also not in a financial situation to grab everything I want at 14.99 a pop, so anything discounted is great, it just all seems to be stuff that I'm not into.

Do you guys/gals just search every couple of days for "free mp3" on those sites?

Thanks!

Amazon has a ton of deals. They discount 100 albums a month to $5. They discount an album a day. They also run other random promotions, such as these $2.99 albums:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/?docId=1000803791

They also often provide $1-$2 promotional credits, that can sometimes be combined and also can be used on sale-priced albums.

Best would be to check the "music" subgroup in the hot deals forum:
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/music/

iTunes also has sales and discounts, but typically not as good as Amazon. There's also occasionally sales on iTunes Gift cards, so you could factor in that discount into the prices on the albums.

eMusic is another option. They have everyday low prices on albums, but you have to sign up for a "subscription" where you pay so much per month. There are free trial offers available for it though:
How eMusic Works
eMusic album listings
eMusic $10 free trial

Finally, there are sites that offer free music. Noisetrade offers albums/eps/samplers of indie artists for free for a limited time. They ask that you provide a monetary "tip" if you like the music, but this isn't required:

Wow mars, thank you so much for all that information!

No problem.

I forgot to mention that Google Play also has deals on its albums, although AmazonMP3 typically price matches them:

Great write-up marsilies. Another option, if you the Peeps here haven't seen it is, L=Spotify]/Spotify-coupons/#shopnow=http://www.spotify.com[/L]. Their catalog is huge, the interface is similar to iTunes and it's free with a 15 second ad every 4 to 5 songs.

Oh, and thanks OP!

i love coldplay..thanks
