Bumping it moves it up for new members, and those that may have missed it, and it is allowed on Fatwallet, and encouraged (they even issue badges for it). Bumping also revives a thread on a current ongoing freebie (and ones that come and go) so it doesn't become archived (and therefore inaccessible). No one is forcing you to visit the thread, scroll past it and leave it for those for whom it is 'new'.
