I tried seeing if anyone posted this work around but found only sharing codes.

Normally you have to be at a starbucks on their wifi or get a code card to do it elsewhere, but this weekend I found another way via the starbucks Iphone app.
You do not need the APP though, or SB wifi, or a code card!

Occassionally the app will send a message (quite randomly) with a link to free music, click the link and the thing errors out But I clicked and held and was able to copy the link into the phones browser and it worked. This caused me to inspect the links which are practically the same! The only thing that changes is the asset ID! I tried a few ID's I did not have a SB message for and many others worked. It seems a bit random but I will post what I have found. You can even use these links on your PC and have it launch itunes!

If any of you have messages in you SB app with songs please click/hold and view that asset ID and reply to this post! I put the dates next to the song if I got the message, others were reversed.

I think that other thread is for code sharing. The benefit here is that these are links that do not require the codes. When you click on the links it creates/enters the code for you. In this way people don't have to wait for a code they want to be posted.

Hopefully I will find a generic link for apps too but I haven't received any free in the starbucks app to take the code.

These links will work for either IOS devices or itunes as they are itunes links. So it is pretty similar but no codes!

I am sorry I did not search that entire thread. Only scanned and saw codes since it is a codes since it is in the code sharing forum. I still think the list should be compiled separately from codes so it is easier. Otherwise people like me will keep searching for an active code Thank you for sharing in the other thread though I am sure many others have appreciated it.

Thanks! This is SO much easier than the previous method. Now if Starbucks would just give us one free app via the Starbucks app........

Thanks OP, this is way easyer than the other method, just click and allow to iTunes, and it downloads. No input of any kind.

No problem I am going to try to keep this thread updated with the pick of the week every week. Though I welcome people to post links they have found and I will update the OP with the links so they are easy to find. Right now I believe I got all of then (assuming the asset tags go in order) as older ones I had are expired already.

Thanks Khor I have updated the link to the song you posted. I was out on vacation for a week so I forgot to update I have also marked another song as expired and added this weeks song. Enjoy

PS: I do not know how many people visit this page for the links but I was wondering what you guys think about me removing the expired links or should I leave them up labeled as Expired for historical purposes? Thoughts, comments, hate mail?

I'd say keep them but flag them as "expired" so people can see the pattern being used.

Thanks for the 2 songs westsideguy. I added those two and a third song. Updated the expired. I was also thinking about keeping the expired's for a historical pattern thing. Maybe I should split them into another post in this same thread to keep them separated.
