Nano iPhone 5 is free also:

http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-...

Great deal.

Often you can get them for $0.99, but this is even better.

T-Mobile announced new cheap plans today, you can surely use one of these to start those plans.

https://www.gosmartmobile.com/compare-prepaid-cell-phone-plans

And before someone gets all angry that there are better plans than those, I know. I'm on one. But this is another option.

Does not work - always give me this error - SorryŚwe're having some trouble with the debit/credit card you provided. Please check to make sure you've correctly filled in all the required fields

I can't get the nano iPhone 5 sim to get added to the cart w/o having to select a plan and device...
I was able to order 1 micro sim though. But now I can't go back and purchase another.

Let the complains about T-Mobile's billing system begin. They do have weird billing. It is not at all uncommon to not be able to order SIMs from them. They decline you for ordering SIMs too recently (trying to stock up?) or other weird stuff and they don't even explain it. You could fill a phone book with complaints of this sort.

I think it is correct that the Nano SIM is only free with a 2 year activation. I didn't notice that before. The others do not require a contract.

just ordered a micro sim, process went thru without any problems.

I received the same message

Woohoo.... I'm in for 2.
green to OP.

Can you activate without adding the funds?

Worked for me. And I used a gift card with a very small balance on the billing page. This ensures that there is no financial risk.

Yes, and it last for a year without adding the $

Thank you, sloppyjoe. Got 1.

Seems that you can also get an iphone 4/4s car charger with it for 99 cents.

Can you tell me how? I received the sim card. When the sim is inserted, trying to make phone call, it asks me to add fund and pick the phone number I'd like. Therefore, the sim is useless so far. TIA.

Thanks for the heads up. Tried to order two page still says processing

Does anyone know if this comes with free airtime that they are not listing?
Last time they had this offer it came with $10 to start. It doesn't say it comes with any airtime.

In for one, Green for OP

Worked for me. Thanks OP

What option are you using, if you don't mind? Thanks.

Thanks OP, in for 2.

The Go smart plans are interesting, it looks like the $35 unlimited everything is limited to 3G? it says under details 'Web speeds appropriate for web browsing, email, and social networking'

Nope.. scroll all the way down. It says "$35 plan includes web at 2G speeds. $45 plan starts at 3G and upon 5GB of use in a cycle is reduced to 2Gspeeds for remainder of cycle"
So it will be around 200 kbps... which is good enough for audio streaming, but not HD video streaming.

It states "New 2-yr. agmt. on qualifying plan required." for this combo.

What do you do with an activated account which has no airtime? Just curious as to why people do this.

The prepads everywhere, under $20 all come with this, (standard size) buy that and you will have a spare cheap phone.

The standard size can be cut to fit a micro phone.

Where did you see that please?

RE:

Yes, US Cellular (uprepaid) WM stores only is one of them.

When I activated my plan (see plan below) using one of these activation kit SIMs, it came with something like $3 of service credit. I think it is a $10 card and the activation is $6.95 so you end up with $3.05 credit to use.

This amount of credit is sufficient to run a PAYG plan for a while, but it doesn't amount to enough to pay even a single month of these prepaid plans, so you have to top up (add money) before your phone will work.

When I activated my PAYG plans, the $3 credit was only good for 90 days. But both had that credit. My prepaid plan has that $3 credit on there, but I'll never be able to use it, as top up cards and monthly plans all are multiples of $5.

It's right there above your question, see the gosmartmobile link. That's actually T-Mobile. It even says so in the lower right corner "T-Mobile USA". They're MVNOing themselves.

I'm on the unlimited web and & text plus 100 minutes talk for $30/mo plan, 2nd from the bottom there. It's hard to sign up for, you have to buy a SIM activation kit online or get one at Wal-Mart (you cannot do it in T-Mobile stores). But that is what we're talking about here, getting SIM activation kits online.

Activation must be done on the web.

Sorry about the huge post, I covered 3 replies at once.

i cant check out on any of these the checkout button wont let me press it

RE:
GoSmart Mobile

They say you need an unlocked GSM, does anyone know if a not unlocked Tmobile will work?

I got asked a bunch of identity questions on checkout. Hmmm..

TheGhoul said:   I got asked a bunch of identity questions on checkout. Hmmm..

That is not uncommon in my experience

I have a TMO SIM running prepaid at $25 per month for 1GB of 3G data (or maybe 2GB). I have it on a tablet so I did not buy any voice service. Works fine, costs little, no complaints.

This thread needs to be archived. This deal was already posted here, here, here, and here.

Do we really need yet ANOTHER thread covering T-Mobile SIM cards?

Just how would one know of the others?

Great, it's free now.

I pulled both cards few weeks back and got that regular credit card related error which others got. Later I used one of my rewards card (debit) and used any other name and it went thru...so check if you can able to get with this trick. Anyhow the address is correct and you know what name you put to collect it when comes in mail.

>I got asked a bunch of identity questions on checkout. Hmmm..

Me too, in my case it was "were you ever associated with any of these addresses?". Three times, and each time one of the address was one I'd used before.

I don't recall being asked about that before, but also this time I was actually able to order two kits! I was one who couldn't get any credit card to take, back when it was 99c.
