Steps.

1. Text 'deals5' to 288253787.
2. Complete your registration with the link. You can register also on your desktop with this link.
3. Text 'coffee' to 288253787.


4. Get $5 gift card.

5. If you prefer, merge to your standard account.

I believe this is for new users only, but it worked for me. The $5 came instantly. Works if you have Straight Talk AT&T. Might work for gophone or other prepaids.

A pita to do this all over phone... Especially since switching between Starbucks app and Internet trying to enter card and code doesn't work. Ha to actually use paper and own to write number down!

When I did the offer a couple weeks ago it took about 30 or so before mine showed up.

Worked fine on a newly activated GoPhone SIM with no credit. Despite having no credit I was still able to send/receive the SMS's.

Didn't bother sending "stop" - just threw out the SIM when I was done

I have a Go Phone account and followed the steps exactly, but I didn't get the gift card, I wonder why some Go Phones get it and some don't?

Try it a second time. We have one phone we had to do it twice to get it go. Odd but it worked

Wow...define "free." Bad enough AT&T logs your location data, now they are selling it to third-parties, and all you get for it is $5? Sorry, not having businesses know where I am is worth passing on the Staryucks bucks...they'd have to pay me a whole lot more than that to sell my location data...
