Worked for me after a couple tries and deleting my temp internet files. I like it much better than regular Hotmail. Thanks OP. |

If your sign in first, it works on the first try. |

2: No sign in prompt
3: It did work. I didn't need to paste it again. I selected "Join Mail Beta" (no "Participate").
4: I don't see a difference.
What am I missing?
I am having the same problem.
Same here! It only worked for me when I was signed into hotmail. I pasted OP's url while in there and got the beta screen. click yes and it put be right back in hotmail but with the new format. |

1. Firefox is a no go. 2. St@ples mails (and others) are pre-formatted, and live mail will cut off part of it for the MS ads. No resize/scroll bar option for those emails. 3. If there is a spam email and you want to delete it from the inbox, you will have to drag it to the trash/spam box. However while you drag it the email will be open and mark as read.
Overall it has a nice GUI but not much different than the old hotmail system in terms of the features.
I was using since a week, The interface was nice if you have large monitor. Just FYI... To delete the spam mail you can right click and choose delete option, If you want to delelte bunch of spam mail - Hold Ctrl/Shift Key and select the unwanted mail then right click and choose delete.

I don't see what the big fuss is either. They didn't arrange this right cause there's like not enough room for all the panes. Don't get too excited just cause this is "new".
I still think gmail is better.
Their local live however could compete with google with their close up satellite pics. |

How to undo it? I still prefer the old hotmail system. Thanks. |

Tamiiy said:Arcanlaw said:Tamiiy said:worked, looks neat. but i still prefer the new yahoo beta. anyways, thanks op!
Where's that?
Login your yahoo mail. You can either access it from the front page on the right it should say "try the new beta" or you can go into the options on your acct and you'll see it at the top of the page "try the beta". Say yes and it'll log you out and then back in w/ the new interface.
This is getting to be off-topic a bit, but for those that are interested:
Yahoo Mail Beta
How can I try out the beta? To try the beta, just do the following: 1. Log into Yahoo! Mail 2. Click on the link that says "Try out the beta version of Yahoo! Mail," directly below your unread message summary. Note: We will gradually make the beta version available to our users over a period of a few weeks, so you may not see this link immediately. 3. On the resulting page, click on the "Switch to Beta Version Now!" link, and you will see your mailbox with the new design
