The following site has free downloadable, printable targets in a wide variety of formats, ranging from 1000m rifle targets to multiple bullseye air rifle or air pistol targets to torso/body outlines for combat shooting and animal targets for hunting practice. They also have novelty targets such as the heads of Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden and targets for shooting games, including bowling, darts and others. Targets download in PDF format.
I'm sure there are other printable targets webpages out there, but this was the first one that came up in 30 seconds of googling and has a nice selection.

I'm also a bit upset with the way the NRA is heading, but on the flip side history does not reveal its alternate ending, and I'm afraid that absent the NRA's extremely aggressive posture legitimate gun owners would be in a far worse position today then we currently are.
In the past there have been hundreds, if not thousands, of additional laws proposed at all levels of government. Without NRA resources many of those that were hammered down would have been passed.
Their insistence to focus on enforcing current laws as opposed to adding more is a reasonable stance, and they alone are the national force who can advocate for that position.
I'm not sure why the OP felt he had to express his misgivings about the NRA since this had little if nothing to do with the NRA. Why be apologetic for something (a link for downloading targets) that is perfectly legal, and appropriate for the "free stuff" category and as proper as posting a link to see the new Al Gore movie for free.
If it's free, legal and does not violate the standards of the forum, post away with a clear conscious.

I do not want anyone to associate me with Charlton Heston or any other NRA fanatic, who intelligent, rational people view with disdain. I want to encourage people of all sorts - including those who shoot and those who do not - to understand that shooting can be a very enjoyable yet safe, responsible and non-sociopathic recreational activity. Shooting does not have to be an utterly polarized issue as the NRA nuts and the anti-gun nuts have made it. Firearms use and ownership do not automatically result in homicidal behavior. Sensible regulation of objects that are inherently deadly does not result in the wholesale stripping of property and civil rights and the imposition of totalitarian government (e.g. laws regulating motor vehicles and alcoholic beverages).
The problem with the issues of firearms ownership and gun control over the past two decades has been that the media focus has been on the extremists and the reason for that is that the extremists have been far more vocal and attention-seeking than those with more moderate and sensible views on the issues. The NRA has made a very deliberate point of trying to project their views and their agenda as that of all shooters, which is certainly not accurate. There are few issues that are black and white, all or nothing and gun ownership is not one of those and should not be categorized by simpletons in that fashion. I think it would be a good thing for gun owners (most of whom are reasonable people) to promote a position that demonstrates to both extremes that it is possible to be a responsible firearms owner without being militant. It would be a very good thing if sportsmen/women would do more to change the overall image of gunowners from a lunatic shrieking "You'll have to pry my rifle from my cold, dead hands!" to that of a group of responsible individuals who love the outdoors and pose no more threat to safety than golfers or cyclists.
I understand what you are saying lousygolfer. I just don't think you need to do a mea culpa when posting a legitamate freebie. Additionally, if you didn't want to be seen as a "fanatic" you could have toned down your description (not mentioning actual humun image targets). Lastly, I don't think you needed to politicize your post by using polemic language (discussing the NRA) where not required.
Why apologize beforehand for something you need not. It was a good post. Don't worry about being judged by strangers using psuedonames to hide their identities. (Wait a minute, I'm one of them too!)

I'm still a firm NRA supporter, but I'm more of the zealous gun crowd, so I lean a bit more towards GOA these days (Gun Owners of America), who seem to be more in touch, and active, with current and upcoming legislative threats to my hobby. I also prefer to shoot ex-military (WWI++), which the NRA caves on all too often.
