Thanks, Dee! I've had this condition for several years, and my (now former) doctor has always airily dismissed it as "Oh, it's rosacea. You just have to learn to live with it." And I recently changed doctors in hopes of getting a better diagnosis and some treatment for this and a couple of other "oh, just learn to live with it" problems. My new doctor has me using Metrogel twice a day for 30 days, at which time he'll see if there's an improvement. If not, he'll pursue other possibilities. There's a link to the Rosacea information group on the free sample website, by the way. I just signed up for their booklets and more information on the condition.
I have red blotches in certain areas of my face. I think its partly due to using hotHOT water when I take a shower every day. My dad has Rosacea, but I dont know if the condition is genetic?
Anyway, this is great stuff. A step above Aveeno's products.
