A fast reply(within minutes)from the merchant via email confirming they received my request and verifying my name, address, site.

I used HippoPoop's suggested method with Yahoo! and set up the link first. It was a breeze, but be sure to check your link before submitting. If your site doesn't have a working link to their site, you probably won't get confirmation.

I tried it. Not optimistic but why not.

Either log in to Yahoo profile or create one, then follow OP's suggestions:
1. Log into: http://members.yahoo.com/
2. Click "View my profiles" on the top right.
3. Create new Public Profile
4. In the space with "cool link 1" add: http://www.cengraving.com
5. Fill out this form: http://www.cengraving.com/new/free
(Hint: In the space where you have to write where you specified the link, its something like http://profiles.yahoo.com/XXXXXXXXXX ) Replace X with your profile name.

The "cool link" is almost at the end of the page, this is where you post the engraving site's URL
