Nice...do you know if this Deathmatch require HL2 or can it run standalone like Fear Combat?
standalone
Nice Find.. Thx, I'm having trouble getting the games to download but got word to the techs and am waiting
I get to the point of downloading these and then it says: Duplicate registration this offer has already been activated using a different steam account.
When I click for help it takes me to another area and says this:
The offer which you are attempting to register has already been activated on your machine. Please see the Resetting a Lost Password topic for instructions to locate the account the promotion was registered to.
I've never done this before so how can it already be activated on my machine? now it won't download these games.
Sweet deal. I didnt have a Steam account. I downloaded the software and am working on downloading the programs right now. Its going to take over 1 hour to download but well worth it.
Is this REAL?? Holy crap. Thanks a ton OP!! ![]()
This really belongs in Hot Deals IMHO. I'm so glad I have a Radeon X1400!!
I'm downloading right now. C'mon, what's the catch?

Ditto here, too. Emailed support to see what they say.
I have been trying to get this since last night. Same error as been posted here. Still waiting for tech support to answer. Wonder why some have been able to download with no problems???![]()
Well, if an answer comes, I'll post it!!

You guys didn't previously have Steam accounts did you? That might cause the problem. If you did have Steam accounts, you can still get the offers. Just reinstall Steam and they should be listed in your "Games" tab and you can download them from there.
Hope this helps someone.
Good catch OP!

I never even heard of Steam until I saw this thread. So, I know it's not because of another account I have (and I told technical support that in the message I sent to them).
I didn't have a steam account before I tried this. Still waiting for an answer from Tech support.

Same here.
Wish they'd respond.
Still waiting a answer from Tech Support.
Answer from Tech Support:
Hello ShadowedBlade,
Unfortunately, if you are seeing the message that the offer has been activated then there is nothing we can do. The hardware promotion can only be activated once from your computer. We apologize for the inconvenience.
My not-so-nice response:
Dear Sir/Madam:
I NEVER HAVE LOADED STEAM OR REGISTERED THIS COMPUTER!
I just bought this computer August 2006 and just loaded STEAM when I saw this promotion online.
And I am not the only one having trouble. There is an entire message board online with people getting this error - some people who just bought their computers!
So, I find it sad that rather than admit the glitch and fix it, you cop out and say "tough."
I didn't want to install STEAM to begin with. So, thanks for giving me a reason to uninstall it.
Sincerely,
ShadowedBlade
I never even heard of Steam before this promotion, so I do not have a Steam account and never registered this computer.
I don't even play games that much, but figured "what the heck" when I could get them for free.
They just ticked me off lying about "nothing they can do" and the fact that they basically called me a liar by still claiming I activated it.
Getting rid of the Steam = less crap on my laptop.
Well at least they answered you, I never got a response!! Oh well, I guess since we were able to download these games because of the ATI, I'll just have to download from "another" source and not feel guilty!! ![]()

I thought the lost coast was free already?
daregan said:I thought the lost coast was free already?
Agreed.... wasn't Lost coast free for everyone that had half life 2 and used steam? It was just a very short part of the game that turned into a commercial to show off some of the new graphics technology
