That is a typical request from a lot of places. The site is Phillip Morris, and the cigarette companies do ask for extra PARTIAL information so they can verify that you are over 18.

What terrifies me is that if they ask for my last 4 numbers of my SS, that must mean that they also have the first 5 numbers... or at least, somebody not affiliated with social security has it...

edit: I'm in. I'll just sell the coupons they send me on eBay......

i don't like having to certify that i am a smoker. i'm sure this would come back to bite me in the ass sometime.

cheaper beach towels can be had elsewhere, i'm sure.

This could be bad news if you arent a smoker & put that you are just to get a free towel
I knw that with my employer if they find out you are a smoker your insurance goes up...just a thought for the nonsmokers
