I tried to combine with the Target coupons to get the 7 lb bag for free but cashier wouldn't let me do it. She said after coupons, it would be less than the amount (free). Anyone has this problem? |

Anyone has this problem? Post this question in GC & Deals forum, I think you will get answers there. Some users are familiar with the ins-and-outs of Target and corporate policy, and can help you get around it. It is a legitimate question to ask in that forum, and totally on topic. Some have been there, done that, and they have the solution for you. Cashiers have a hard time giving you overage, even though the store gets back all of it's money from the manufacturer.

Anyone has this problem? I'll answer here since it is related to the coupon but I agree with SweetClover that you'll get better answers in the grocery forum. Technically as long as the final total is positive you can get an overage on individual items. I have seen copies of the official coupon policy that say that, unfortunately mine just says they will adjust the value of the coupon. But, Target cashiers rarely seem to know how to adjust coupons to a lower value so whenever I have a coupon with a higher value than the item I get an overage. But, since the smallest bag is the one that is free with the man. coupon and the Target coupon is for the bigger bag, you may be out of luck in this case. |

I actually went to another Target and managed to get the big bag for free Got a different cashier this time. I guess it does depend on what cashier you get. |

AbbyNormal said:2 coupons arrived. 1 for a free 4lb bag and a second for $1 off several cans. The free coupon had no value limit That's not for the Premuim Protection. If you are on the mailing list, they send random coupons out. That is for the ProActive Health IAMS line . I had gotten the Premium Protection some time ago, and got the coupons you got yesterday. Once you are on their mailing list, you usually get cents off coupons. I already feed my kitty the Hairball Formula kibbles, though I mix it with other foods. Still does a good job at reducing/eliminating hairballs. So the free bag was a nice surprise, it's for a 4 lb one too. The Premium Protection was for a 2.2 lb one. BTW, the Proactive ones expire in December, the Premium is good till August of 2009. |

Hi everyone, I used both this coupon and the Proactive Health one (received prior to promotion ending). The cashier at Wal-Mart almost wouldn't honor the Proactive one because the stupid register kept saying "amount too much." Although I was in a desperate hurry, I made her get a supervisor, who helped make it happen. Never let the cashier wimp out on you. Just FYI to all the kitty owners, even though Iams is very expensive, they STILL use meat by-products, which are the junk meats that humans can't consume. This really ticks me off. I normally feed my cats Natura Healthwise cat food, which is completely natural, but I just couldn't resist two free bags of fairly decent cat food. I just mixed it up with the Healthwise. In the future, I won't be spending my money on a product that hypes themselves up as healthful for your cat, then cheaps out on the unsuspecting public by using meat by-products. |
